  1. Thats good to know but why does their website not say that? Maybe they haven't updated it? Open Original Shared Link It says no gluten is added but that they can't be considered gluten free so I'm a bit confused when it comes to that brand
  2. Breastfeeding is a good thing and is a good way to prevent celiac disease BUT allergens can be passed through breastmilk and can cause harm if a child can't tolerate those allergens. "Food that the mother eats can be passed along in the breast milk. So the babies aren't allergic to breastmilk, they are allergic to the food the mother is eating." -This...
  3. Yep Yoplait is my favorite and I always eat it...I was told by Dannon that they couldn't guarantee any of their products were gluten free....I found it on their website I don't know if they changed it but I just stick with Yoplait
  4. You definately need a separate toaster....pots and pans need to be cleaned....you should get new cookie sheets too. https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid=12 You should definately print out these lists. They are a good guideline for the forbidden ingredients and safe things. You should also check makeup, toothpastes, lotions, and such for risks...
  5. I agree with celiac3270 100%....it definately is passed through breastmilk. Whatever the mom has in her system will be passed to the baby. Why do you think they tell pregnant women to avoid certain things such as alcohol and MSG while pregnant....because they don't want to put the baby at risk. If the baby is a celiac(or in question celiac) then the gluten...
  6. The McDonalds ones I know for sure are gluten free. They even have a list of their gluten-free products on their website. I consider them a pretty safe place for their gluten free items. I eat hash browns and fries there all the time. I have never heard of them selling onion rings...even if they do they have their fries done in a separate fryer. I don't...
  7. I agree with that...I don't consider myself not normal. I am normal, I eat normal foods too. Just because I can't have certain things does not by any means make me weird, I live a normal life. There is nobody on this earth that is the same...I wouldn't even want it that way the world would be so boring. Everyone has their own idea of what normal is to me...
  8. Yeah General Mills is a good brand for listing gluten as well I eat Yoplait all the time
  9. Some GI doctors are snobby about having positive biopsies being the only way to diagnose. I fortunately had an awesome GI doctor and he told me he didn't need a biopsy to diagnose me. He told me that there was a good chance I had very little or no damage so it was a hit or miss whether it would come back positive or not. I think that biopsies can be useful...
  10. They won't hide anything in their ingredients. Graham flour is different the regular flour I guess. They were not hiding anything they clearly listed graham flour which as celiac3270 said is also on our forbidden list. Kraft is an awesome brand I do agree it would be easier if they just listed their products as gluten-free if they are but they really do make...
  11. celiac3270-wow I didn't know that...I learn something new every day.I think if we had celebrities promoting celiac then more people would start to be aware. I wish we could get on a popular show like dr phil or oprah or something.
  12. When I first went gluten free I did have similar problems. I think it is because your body is adjusting to the change and trying to heal itself. For me it went away after a few weeks and then my symptoms slowly but surely started to disappear
  13. Thanks for sharing celiac3270

Yeah I was treated very bad when I went in there. I refuse to go there too. I love the outback you should try there sometime as celiac3270 suggested.

    ARCHIVED Seasonings

There are some chicken broths and such that are gluten free. McCormick seasonings also don't hide any gluten on their labels ...I use those alot however I'm not sure if that's the type of seasoning you meant. Their seasonings really add good flavor to the food.
  16. Hi~ Sorry to tell you this but symptoms may go away over the years but that does not mean it is in remission. There is no such thing with celiac. Once you have it there is no getting rid of it the only way to control it is with a gluten free diet otherwise symptoms or not your intestines will be damaged. Many doctors don't have the proper knowledge about...
  17. Hello welcome to the board I guess a question that pops into my mind is how could your celiac go to remission? Are you meaning that you could eat gluten?? Because once your a celiac your a celiac there is no remission. Symptoms or not damage will be done when you eat gluten. There are alot of people here I think that can't tolerate corn. I can...
  18. It does sound like it could in fact be celiac. There are many symptoms associated with celiac and not everyone has the same ones. You don't have to have GI symptoms you don't even have to have symptoms at all and can still have it. I would recommend to get tested. Surgeries, childbirth, viruses such as mono, and things like that can trigger celiac as well...
  19. Gatorade is gluten free
  20. Read the ingredients. If there is anything questionable then you have to check and make sure it is gluten free.
  21. I use liquid vitamins plus by utrition and they are ultra absorbable and have been extremely good for me
  22. Sounds yummy I think I am going to have to make that and try it
  23. I never had that problem with celiac but they can't put a time table on when symptoms will clear up. Some peoples symptoms clear up sooner and others later. My symptoms started getting alot better by month three and then by a few months after that I was back to normal again. Make sure your products are gluten free such as lipsticks/cosmetics, shampoos,lotions...
  24. Leslie-Nystatin is an antifungal prescription drug, it is not herbal. It is one of the main medications doctors use to treat candida.
  25. Celiac is a very underdiagnosed disease. Many people end up undiagnosed for sometimes decades. Even with very bad damage to your intestines going gluten free should heal it. Most of the time they say within 6 months the intestines are healed but it varies from person to person. If there is already allergies in the family to those things you may want to be...
