  1. Awesome! Let me know how you like it. Just a hint...make sure you add the base for your eyes before putting on that eye shadow because the eye shadow of that brand can barely stay on without it. I actually use a different brand of eye shadow in addition to help it stay on.
  2. You have been eating gluten right? Also, make sure the full panel with the right tests are done.
  3. I don't take a chance with anything so I personally use all gluten free makeup and products. I mean if you rub your eye without thinking then touch food you eat then your food could have trace amounts. Just so much to think about.
  4. This is from the Delphi List: Health Valley Products -Wheat, oats, rye and barley will be listed on the label if they are present as an ingredient. They can’t guarantee against trace amounts because they also produce products containing those ingredients.
  5. You need to wait until after testing to put him on the diet. Being gluten free before testing will make the tests worthless. Make sure the complete panel is done on him though. As soon as the blood is drawn you could have him go on the diet and see if he sees improvement as well.
  6. What tests were done? Have you had symptoms? Were you gluten free during testing? Have you tried being gluten free and feel better? Don't rule a gluten problem out until all the questions are answered and you are sure.
  7. Yes, those can be some of the symptoms you can experience. Everyones symptoms vary but those can be some of them.
  8. Apples are gluten free and apple juice should be to if it is 100% juice. You have to check if it has additives. Some people on here have said that some apples may be sprayed with something that contains gluten but that has just been a rumor and nobody actually knows for sure yet if its true. I know the organic ones I have are fine and we checked on them...
  9. Yes, people with celiac can have amino acid deficiencies.
  10. I feel it right away. I usually start feeling weird in the midst of eating it right before the symptoms set it. When that happens I stop eating because I know by that point I was glutened.
  11. If it's in the US it will be ok unless stated on the label. ALL companies have to do this. Medication is a different story. Research it a bit and people will tell you that. You are probably missing so many good foods you can have. I would definitely research it instead of taking someones word for it because you will be pleasantly surprised-you can have in...
  12. Pillsbury has some good frosting that is gluten free to but avoid Betty Crocker. I love the Kinnikinnick chocolate glazed donuts. We ordered like 2 dozen and they were gone within a week
  13. I personally try to avoid places without a policy on gluten. It is risky enough just to go to the places that have gluten free menus and serve other food but a place with no policy is probably not well versed and would probably contaminate food easier.
  14. I have heard about every 2-5 years but sooner if symptoms start.
  15. The thing I do not like about biopsies are that if they come back positive they can rule it in but if it comes back negative they can't rule it out. There may be no damage yet if it is in beginning stages or there could only be sporadic damage. Since he has had symptoms and had one of the tests come back high, I would say that there is an issue with gluten...
  16. Alot of Dove products are gluten free. They are a brand that will indicate gluten on the label in the form of wheat, rye, barley, oats. I use their bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, etc.
  17. Don't you hate that when that happens. I hope you have a good experience with the place you go and hopefully you don't get glutened. Tell us how it goes I have had that happen before but I usually bring something in my pocketbook to eat. Maybe you could do that or just order a drink you can have.
  18. Either way..they aren't gluten free though. I have checked the sauce at places I have been and they have been questionabe. They could very well use that brand that is safe. As for bars, I have no clue what they use..I'm only 18 so I haven't been there. It really wouldn't matter if their sauce is gluten free or not though because of deep frying. Or say...
  19. If on a label where it doesn't hide anything(like Kraft) and it says nothing then you can be assured that its not wheat or anything we can not have. Most likely it is probably corn.
  20. No most chicken wings will not be ok to eat. The actual sauce on it is usually not gluten free.
  21. A definite no to eat for us
  22. I have had that happen before too. I definitely do not trust BK.
  23. Welcome to the board You are welcome to email me or IM me anytime. My Yahoo is KaitiUSA. I'm 18 and was diagnosed over a year and a half ago. I usually bring my food with me pretty much everywhere I go and it has worked for me very well. Some people understand and some don't but that's ok because I am alot healthier then I was before.
  24. I'm 18 but I live about 3 hours away in MD. Always looking for other celiacs my age to hang out with as friends. I have relatives up in PA so I am up there sometimes too.
  25. Yes, I believe more than 1 person can have the same one
