  1. It can be done; My point is that many time we assume something contains Gluten... I forgot to mention that dairy was also a contributor to GI issues in my case...
  2. Donna, Did you get those fries tested for Gluten??? CC can be an issue with our food most of the time.. Just last year I thought many gluten free foods had CC issues until I was treated for H PYLORI... I think my very low VITAMIN D contributed to the Big D issue too.. Just 9 weeks ago I stopped eating all fries, my favorite too.. I found myself...
  3. Tell us more about this hydrogen breath test for Gluten....
  4. That all sounds Great, but this needs to addressed with Colleges that have Cullinary Courses.. I have a friend enrolled in her second year of Cullinary at Wor-Wic Community College on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.. Her Instructor/Chef thinks the whole Gluten Free thing is Over Rated.. My friend will graduate this spring, at that time I plan to write...
  5. I'm puzzled that my GI doesn't understand that one can get relief like this.. He just reminds me there are many snake oil products out there.. Great to hear some find relief.. I need to study this out some & try it..
  6. Earlier this month Namaste came thru with a case of pizza crust mix... There seemed to be an issue with one batch of mix.. When the Gluten Free Dust settled, I ended up with a replacemet case of mix, plus one extra mix and a spice cake mix.. It's a GREAT product that's Dairy Free too....
  7. IMO, Betty Crocker makes a good product.. Dairy may be an issue in many processed foods... Check out the Gluten Free BuckWheat flour & pancake mixes... Beware that gluten-free portions of processed foods are smaller or one's waist may get wider...
  8. Knowing that my Mom was never Diagnosed with Celiac...
  9. Lets start with the Turkey being gluten-free.....
  10. josh, If you haven't already get your VITAMIN levels checked and remove the guesswork... I had many GI issues that were resolved by being treated for H PYLORI, removing dairy from my diet and correcting my very low VITAMIN D level(14. something).. I'm not sure that the VITAMIN D helped the GI issues, but my aches & pains faded away.. I did lose...
  11. k_c, Were you ever checked for H PYLORI ???
  12. Have any dairy with that meal???
  13. I think you answered your question... btw, What type of surface were the waffles cooked on??
  14. Tell us how those waffles were fixed??? Hope you feel better fast....
  15. Googles, I once was one to keep health issues personal.. That did change when I was diagnosed in June of 09 and learned that we need to spread the word to help others with Celiac.. IMHO, I feel it's our duty to spread the word about Celiac to help others out there..
  16. It took a while to figure out my cause of pain... I was taking HYOSCYAMINE SUL 0.125 MG for Spasms till I figured out that dairy was causing the pain...
  17. NateJ, Have you had your Vitamin D checked?? I've had issues where my BP med was increased in late winter & cut back in late summer... I recently had a stress test that zeroed in on an issue.. I'm now taking the right meds and less of them with extra Vitamin D... I'm feeling quite a bit better each week...
  18. Let Mom know that allergy testing can be mis-leading.. I've had 2 rounds in as many years and one round did confirm I had a dust issue of 2 on a scale of 10.. I did have 2 other enviroment issues, but neither were really any day to day issue or of a higher scale to worry about.. One round was completed at a HOPKINS Clinic.. Neither round of tests...
  19. Pizza Mix Gluten & Dairy Free...
  20. Get all your Vitamin levels checked.. Take note about Vitamin D in the following link.. Open Original Shared Link
  21. I was sent to a Neuro Ophthalmologist by my Ophthalmologist several years before I was diagnosed with Celiac in June of 09... The N O did save my sight in my left eye, neither the O or N O mentioned taking any vitamins...
  22. It's Dry Eyes & Glare for me... I'm using RESTASIS for the Dry Eyes & Transition Lens in my glasses, but the Reflected Glare is my Biggest Eye Issue... Transition Lens just don't help the reflective glare here..
  23. I suffered with mucous from birth til 57 1/2 years, when I was diagnosed & went Gluten Free... For me,99% of my mucous issues were resolved with the Gluten Free diet...
  24. bny06, Living in Maryland and having so many Lyme symptoms, I was tested yearly for it... Some years I was tested twice and all tests were combined with other lab work... Since being diagnosed with Celiac in June of 09. most of the Lyme type symptons have vanished... It may just take some time to resolve all issues...
  25. Not for everyone, but recently someone Posted about getting a Medical Alert Tattoo... I think it was on this Forum...
