  1. HI all! I've been gluten free for almost four years and doing well. But now I have a extremely itchy rash that looks like it could be a DH for the last two months. The doctor took a biopsy and it came back negative. He gave me prednisone. It seemed liked it helped, but it didn't take it completely away. He also gave me Triamcinolon ointment (corticosteroid...
  2. Thanks Bartful! I didn't know that iodine can cause DH. I eat a lot of chips and nuts almost everyday. You might be on to something. I'll be checking it out. Thanks again!
  3. I'm not sure. That's interesting though. They actually took two biopsy's from my bum. I'll have to make sure it's not a gluten issue for sure and go through everything again, too. I am very careful and I've been keeping a food log for the last almost 4 years now. I am very sensitive. And I swear the only time I have any health problems it's always, always...
  4. Hi all! I am so overwhelmed right now. I have super itchy skin rash for the last two months that will not go away. I've been to two doctors so far -my PCP and derm. They gave me predisone. It helped, but it didn't go away. AT first I thought it was poison ivy, but I think the predisone should have taken it away if that was the case. The derm doctor gave...
  5. HI everyone! I just found out yesterday that my thyroid medication was recalled and discontinued - Levoxyl. I've been taking this for the last three years without any problems. I am so bummed... So now I'm looking for another gluten free medicine. In the past I've gotten deathly sick from the brand name Synthroid, Abbott Laboratories, so I'm a little...
  6. I have a problem with their curry powder, too. I haven't tried anyone else's yet. But yes, I'm wondering if it's just the curry powder. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

    ARCHIVED Wolff

Hi everyone! I've been gluten free for three years now and doing great except for the occasional accidental glutening. I know I just got glutened again and I really suspect the Wolff
  8. Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any experience eating at Ditka's Steakhouse. The hubby ate there and told me the food is so good and wants to take me there. I called them -they don't have a gluten free menu, but they told me they would make me something special. I'm always a little unsure when I hear that a restaurant doesn't have a gluten...
  9. Hi everyone! Does anyone know if there is a Medrol dose pack that is gluten free? Brand name or generic? Or Predisone? I'm having a hard time finding out the facts. Thanks!
  10. I just wanted to add that after taking the GNC Womens vitamins for a month I got really sick. So sick that my doctor's thought I had lymphoma and I had to had a lymph node removed for a biopsy. I had to completely stop all of them and start from scratch. The GNC vitamins were the newest vitamins I started to take, but I really suspect it was the Vitafusion...
  11. Thanks for the info Shauna! I did have problems with Country Life vitamins last year and I had to stop them. I'm not sure if it was CC or something else, but I kept having a sore throat from them and when I stopped them my sore throat went away after three days of taking them. But now you got me thinking...I was taking other vitamins too, so I'm not...
  12. Thanks Irishheart! I already ordered some vitamins from Kirkman Labs a week ago and got them in the mail already. I think I'm going to start the Kirkman Lab vitamins tonight and then if I have any reactions I'll stop them and try the Now brand. But I do know I really need something. My energy is so low right now. I'm not sure if it's just because of the...
  13. Thanks for all your help! I'm so glad I didn't eat the B&L french onion dip. I did email the company, too, but I never got a response. That will be the last time I buy any B&L products. I guess I'll have to give it away. Thanks again to both of you!
  14. Happy Birthday!!! Cheers, IH

  15. I drink Silk Almond (unsweetened) milk everyday. I LOVE it! All of Silks products are gluten free. I called the company last year and I never had any problems with it. And I'm very sensitive. Enjoy!
  16. I think you'll really like the Pocono Cream of Buckwheat cereal. It's a hot cereal and it reminds me so much of Cream of Rice and Cream of Wheat. It's completely gluten free. I eat this a lot and it's so good. Open Original Shared Link
  17. I can so relate! I react to Chex cereals too. And even Glutino. Every time I try them I get my usual gluten reactions. It's so frastraing... I have a few more ideas for breakfast for you. 1. Pocono - Cream of Buckwheat cereal (found at Wholefoods) with any berries and silk almond milk. 2. Ancient Harvest Traditional Qunioa cooked with any berries...
  18. Sorry -I meant to say 50,000 iu.
  19. HI Everyone, Well, this is my extension from the previous post about vitamin D.. Does anyone have any recommendations for multi vitamins? I was checking out the Bluebonnet vitamins and I seen a lot of the multi's have soybeans in them. This is one brand I haven't tried yet. But, I can eat soy once in a while. I'm not sure if it's something I can...
  20. HI everyone! Thank you for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate all the advice. My doctor just called me and he's going to put me on 50,000 vitamin D once a week for 6 weeks and then recheck my vitamin D counts. I'll have to call the pharmacy to find out if it's gluten free. No wonder I'm getting colds more often... in the last two months...
  21. HI everyone, I've been doing really good on the gluten free diet and ever since I stopped all my vitamins seven months ago. Just some past information- I got extremely sick for vitamins that were supposed to be gluten free last year. I feel really good now, but I just got my blood work back and I'm a little low on vitamin D. It was 23. So...
  22. I react to the Betty Crocker Bisquick, too. For me, I think it's just CC. I'm super sensitive and react to very small amounts of gluten. I eat soy all the time without any problems, so I know it's not soy. I hope you're feeling better.
  23. HI Everyone and Happy Holidays! I was just wondering if anyone knows if B&L French Onion Dip was gluten free? I can't find any information about this product and I'm a little unsure about it. It has " Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein" in the indregents label. Thanks for your help!
  24. HI everyone! I know I was getting some CC of gluten from the synthriod brand about two years ago. I called the Abbott company twice & they told me the same thing - "They didn't add gluten to the synthriod but they didn't test for gluten & they couldn't guarantee it was gluten free." Last year after being on the gluten free diet for three months...
  25. Hi Shauna, This is a really good question. I wish I had some answers for you. So far I have reacted to many muti vitamins. I think I tried about seven different companies and I still haven't found one that I can take. After the last time I'm really afraid to take any and I've completely given up on them. Back in Jan of this year I was so sick from...
