  1. Get another doctor. You don't have to put up with a doctor that doesn't know what he is talking about. If you want to get diagnosed, you will need to start eating gluten again. If you get DH, you can get the dermatologist to biopsy next to the new lesion. That counts as a diagnosis. Sometimes the DH shows up quickly when you start eating gluten.
  2. That's what I thought. Maybe she could do blobs
  3. When I roll a sticky dough, I put sown a piece of plastic wrap and then a piece on top. I roll it on a big cutting mat or cookie sheet. . Then I peel the top layer off and use the cutting mat to flip it onto my pizza pan. I'm not sure how that would work for your garlic knots? Are they like this? Open Original Shared Link I made these with the pillsbury...
  4. What is the follow- up for your malrotation? Obviously, they must follow that closely? The possible problems even after correction means that a GI would exam you yearly? Maybe there isn't any but surely, because you are experiencing GI symptoms they would want to look at all the possible problems associated with the birth defect. Sure it could be Celiac...
  5. You know, if they have one during ski season, I'll be there!
  6. I signed up to. It is free. I know a lot of the speakers do have products and books to sell, some good and some bad. I think we need to remember that, just because someone calls the self a doctor, they aren't necessarily an MD. Also, research done by a company and not presented to other research peers to review and critique, may not be valid. Also...
  7. Actually, the next ICDS is in 2 years in Prague and the one after that is in New Delhi. So save your money! The reps from Prague are doing a lot of planning! I noticed none of these self- proclaimed Internet experts presented at ICDS.
  8. I'm surprised at that line-up. Some real experts and some of the high profile quacks. Interesting.
  9. The Univ of Chicago sends a free box to biopsy diagnosed Celiacs. I think you have to send them a copy of the pathology report and blood work. They said that sometimes they get copies of results that do not diagnose celiac but doctors told people they had celiac. It makes a good double check. Open Original Shared Link
  10. Depending on the amount and severity of the damage, enough could heal that it would be missed on an endoscopy. just villi grow back in 7-10 days. Same with the little pieces they remove for a biopsy. Please let the GI know you are gluten free. They may decide there is no point in doing an endo and leave you without an official diagnosis. That is your...
  11. A bit off subject but you should continue to eat gluten until after you get the endoscopy. I would hate for you to get a negative biopsy and have the doctors refuse to diagnose you with Celiac.
  12. I roll sticky doughs out between two pieces of plastic wrap. I had some of this dough and put the container in the freezer. Apparently, the company says not to freeze the dough! Oh well. I have some more and want to make a free form pie. It has a fancy name that I don't know. You roll it out to basically round, put the fruit filling in the middle...
  13. Maybe copy this and go to your doctor right away? Open Original Shared Link
  14. This is fabulous news! They sound like they paid attention to the outcry from their previous " gluten lite" pizza.
  15. First, I don't think the whole house has to be gluten-free. There are ways to have some gluten food in the home and keep things safe. But that assumes that everyone wants and is able to follow the procedures. There is lots of info at Open Original Shared Link. And there are other national organizations a and celiac medical centers with info. Because...
  16. Popcorn is hard to digest. Maybe take a few days off from it and see if you feel better?
  17. They are quite accurate. But it will depend on the tests that were ordered. For example, about 5% of people don't make enough of the type of antibody that is usually tested . They should do a total serum IGA to see if the TTG IGA test is the right one for you. Get a copy of your results. Open Original Shared Link
  18. Look for kids vitamins. They usually are similar in amounts of vitamins. What about these? Open Original Shared Link
  19. Blast it! It has barley! agh! I know this brand likes to be dye free!
  20. It's not a " dye". Maybe check the children's vitamins. I think this brand is at Whole foods or Natural grocery or maybe a regular grocery
  21. What about this brand? Open Original Shared Link

    ARCHIVED Newbie Intro

I don't know what test that was, but to go that dramatically down in 6 weeks if it was a TTG test, is AMAZING! Here's a little secret your doctor apparently doesn't know. antibodies levels can keep rising for a while after you eliminate gluten.
  23. Just curious...why do you think its a good law that allows a criminal to sue the victim? If someone cuts himself breaking a window to come into my house and rob us or worse, why is that my fault?
  24. That doesn't sound like Celiac blood work. And if the celiac part was negative -.Perhaps gluten is not your issue? I would hate for you to continue suffering and not look for the real cause. Is that your total serum IGA? That is just taken to see if you make enough response to the actual celiac tests. If your Celiac blood tests are all negative, then...
