  1. I think the response was for the person who started this thread about her little boy? Maybe you are in the wrong place?
  2. The best way to find out with "medications" is to check the manufacturer's website or email or call them. Food has better labelling laws. You may get a "legal" statement that they don't test for gluten but none of the ingredients are derived from gluten. I would use them if that is the case.
  3. This might give you some ideas of what people on this forum eat: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/75238-the-whats-for-dinner-tonight-chat/page-347#entry856025
  4. I don't think I was any different. I started gluten-free right after it so I can't really judge. I have several friends, probably not Celiac, whose " stomach" issues got better after and endo/ colo combo. Probably the good clean- out.
  5. Perhaps you or your doctor could contact the Univ of Chicago Celiac center? They like to help docs understand Celiac. Open Original Shared Link
  6. No. I would have posted it. Great customer service, eh?
  7. Just because you tested negative a few years ago, doesn't mean you don't have it ( or test positive) today. For example, if you had a sore throat and they tested you for strep 3 years ago and it was negative, they would test your sore throat today for strep. Doesn't mean you can never get strep in the future.
  8. The original posts are 9 years old! The last few are 3 years old! Products can change sooooo much in that amount of time. There are discussions of rice cakes that are just a few days or weeks old. Those would be more likely to be accurate.
  9. I'm not sure where you are getting your facts. Could you please supply reliable sources? I don't understand how making antibodies makes you gluten sensitive but not Celiac? I don't believe there are any reliable tests currently in use to determine non- Celiac GI. And, like a previous poster said, different labs use different measurements. 10 may be...
  10. Please read some simple info from a reliable source. There are always a few posts, especially from new posters, that are not based in fact. I know I said some stupid stuff when I was new. Open Original Shared Link
  11. Read around on the forum. Read this thread with some basic info for newly diagnosed Celiacs https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/
  12. Welcome. You are asking a lot of questions. Many have current discussions. Read around on the forum and see what others are going through. Read the Newbie thread for some general info. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/
  13. When you are new, your posts must be read by a moderator. The moderators are all volunteers. It is usually faster during the middle of the day ( in the US). It can range from 1 minute to several hours if none of us are able to read it.
  14. Lots of info on this site: Could check other Celiac centers Open Original Shared Link
  15. My boys are 17 and 20 and that is still a good idea!
  16. I think the difference in this thread about getting glutened by a couch and a previous one about adults sitting on a couch that a pet that ate gluten 2 years ago sat on is: This lady has kids that LOVE to put stuff down in the little crevices of the couch. She has tried to vacuum out the crumbs she can feel in there but they aren't coming out. The kids...
  17. "He" hasn't been on the forum in 7 years. I doubt he will answer you. You can click on a person's name/ picture and see when they were last on.
  18. read some info from Celiac experts: Open Original Shared Link
  19. I don't know much about this, but I think its your computer. Something with cookies that remember that stuff for you. My computer even has something where it specifically asks if you want it to remember.
  20. Some people find things like Tum, Pepto bismol, or Immodium help. You should continue to eat gluten for the endoscopy. Your insurance should cover the tests. They may need more info from the doc. That is quite common for any illness and tests. Insurance companies want to pay as late and as little as possible.
  21. Open Original Shared Link Down a ways on the page is her recipe for onion rings made with a batter. Might work.

    Lol!
  24. There are lots of foods at are naturally gluten-free or easy to make gluten-free. Homemade soups, chili ( Williams chili seasoning has no flour filler), tacos, baked chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, etc. I don't make too many meals that revolve around bread. Use the google function at the top for " budget" or " cheap" etc . We have had a lot...
