  1. What you are responding to is from 2007. Products change over time. Also, the ingredients may be different from country to country. I am in the US. The Lea & Perrins in my fridge does not contain malt vinegar.
  2. Look at this thread about using your old toaster. Jestgar has a link to making your own bag with parchment paper.
  3. Just talked to J at Call- lugge. He said the cafeteria food is labelled gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian. The best food is the gluten-free because they take extra care when they make it. Everyone can have it, too. They make the best gluten-free chocolate cake. Everyone loves it!
  4. You need protein. Plus you have to take your lunch. Breakfast doesn't have to be the traditional eggs or cereal. You could make stuff ahead like boiled eggs. What about an apple with PB? Lunch meat. I just stick it in the microwave for a few seconds so it's not cold. Hot dogs. Left- overs from dinner. Jar of nuts. Various protein bars...
  5. Yum! Send me the left- overs! I like cold fried chicken!
  6. They are gluten-free. Kraft will clearly label any gluten inclding barley or rye.

    ARCHIVED Doctor Jersey/pa

Its OK to add a doc. Just don't expect people from an old post to respond. I have had people message me to complain how rude people are that don't respond to thier posts/ Even it the person hasn't been on in 5 years.
  8. This post you are responding to is 5 years old. Info about products changes. You should consult the ingredientd or the manufacturor for up to date info.
  9. I don't know any because I haven't looked. I know there are ones for dieting (loosing weight). Might look at some of those?
  10. Needs vampires to be interesting literature right now. Maybe if you added a love triangle between a vampire, werewolf & a human? Maybe if you turned into a werepanther when glutened? Sent Vampirates after the restauraunt?
  11. That post you are responding to is almost 8 years old. I have seen articles on here that smoking can somehow protect from or put- off Celiac onset. The risks of smoking are worse than eating gluten free.
  12. If you like, you can start a blog here and give us hour by hour poop reports. Perhaps a flow chart of symptoms? ( but not a pie chart as you aren't up to pie yet). I hope you feel better soon.
  13. Well...that's comforting to know. Thank you for thinking of us butter eaters.
  14. That is a " real" diagnosis of Celiac. It only occurs in Celiac as far as I know. Open Original Shared Link "A skin biopsy is sufficient to confirm the diagnosis of DH. DH is the skin manifestation of celiac disease." Also: Open Original Shared Link

    ARCHIVED Sick

There is some antinausea medicine at the drug store. Some people say it helps. If you can go to sleep, that wil help everything relax. Then suck on ice. If that works, tiny sips of Gatorade or Popsicles. If that sits, small bites of Rice cooked in chicken broth or Rice Chex.
  16. I foresee a lot of meringues in your future.
  17. Welcome, Lee's Summit!
  18. I tell people that gluten causes the destruction of my small intestine. If people want more detail I can explain about antibodies, mal- absorption of vitamins, etc.
  19. Do you feel you could get it clean? The bowls are pretty simply made, without alot of hiding places. Maybe you could get a replacement bowl? I find, from my glutenous days, that white vinegar disolve the flour pretty well. I have a mini one, but I never put bread in it that I remember.
  20. In the US, sausage rarely, if ever has gluten added. In the UK i hear its the other way around. Wheat cannot hide, it must be spelled out in the US. Look at Peter's post (about 4 down) for a great explanation. Also, check out the link he gave at the bottom of the post. These companies will disclose any gluten, not just wheat so barley...
  21. The food pantry I give food to told me she had only had maybe 2 requests for gluten-free food. When I bring things in, she puts up a notice and a note on the shelf ( high, need a chair to reach). Then people ask for it. they just assume she doesn't have any pasta or crackers. Maybe you could help your food pantry with a few items and a sign. Maybe just...
  22. You can put the link. Or a copy of a part of the article with that info. You just can't link to your own business or personal pages on a forum posts.
  23. I have found a small food bank that wants gluten-free food. They put the things I bring aside for thier clients that need gluten-free. I have spoken with them and seen the place. They also know that the people who need gluten-free can have other things, not just what I bring ( like PB, corn, etc). People don't usually ask because they assume she doesn...
  24. My hands are over my eyes! La! La! La! I can't see or hear you! I try to pretend these types of foods are not gluten-free so I don't eat them! If I don't look at the ingredients, I can assume they are not gluten-free. Otherwise, I would be scarfing them down!
