  1. High school, right? Email all your teachers. Look at their websites. Try to keep your homework up to date. Have someone turn in your homework. Have someone get stuff out of your locker that you need or go after school and get it. If you show the teachers you are trying, most will work with you. You may have to get your mom or dad involved. Of course...
  2. Which dough did you use for the rolls? The breadstick dough? I have heard people put cheddar in them and that would be good for a sandwich.
  3. Whose lungs?

  6. Ok. These are making the artificially overdone, black chips and the resultant colored poop look normal.
  7. I agree with Skylark. Just because her blood test was negative 2 years ago, doesn't mean it won't be positive now. She may not have had enough antibodies get into the blood yet. I would ask to get a copy of those blood tests, too. We have had people on here who have been told they had a negative blood test and the right tests weren't run or the results...
  8. Some of the artificial sugars that are in sugarless gum & candy give me a stomach ache.
  9. Yesterday was the big Missouri vs Univ of Kansas football game. Hub got some Mission brand tortilla chips that were Black & gold (the normal color) for Missouri. Black chips! They had KU ones that were red & bright blue! The black chips creeped me out. And of course you know what all that black food colorig does to your poop the next day! ...
  10. Sounds like you're going to be fun to live with! Good luck with this? I hope it's not too bad....
  11. These cheese flavorings on more than just Nut Thins seems to bother me. I don't have a problem with dairy. I have noticed it with several cheese powder coated chips or crackers that are gluten-free. Doesn't mean it's gluten, probably something else.
  12. Read the insert. I bet those are common side effects. Sometimes they stop after a few weeks.
  13. We make the Chebe bread sticks with Asiago cheese. seems to have more flavor. When they are mostly cooked, we take them out & brush olive oil on them & then sprinkle with a little garlic salt & a lot of garlic powder. Put them back in to cook. Similar idea. Yum.
  14. I have to give partial credit for my "wise saying" to my sister who quipped that we celiacs needed Kevlar vests. :>) She "gets" that part. Now, if I could only convince her to get tested. sigh...

  15. I seem to have an issue with the sweeteners in some diet sodas. I do OK with the Coke made with Splenda & use Splenda in my coffee. I do OK with that one that has Truvia sweetener. Haven't has a Fresca in years.
  16. Sssshhh! Don't tell anyone. Those pretty green bushes that were growing in my front flower bed were basil. Not allowed to have a produce type garden in the front yard.
  17. Y M B a C .......took me a minute!
  18. Wow! That's a surprise! Does look gluten-free. I would read every packet, just to be sure. If they have changed the ingredients recently, there could be older ones out there.
  19. We have a very short list of rules that are agreed to when people join. Many do not read them or ignore them. If we made them longer, I doubt they would read them. We do have some basic info on the main Celiac.com page. Facts change, sometimes quickly. I don't know a lot about what it takes to format this forum or the legalities of the appearance...
  20. You might be Celiac if you think this is a funny gift for your GI when filled with vegetable soup: The Toliet Mug
  21. If you are talking about Lea & Perrins Worchestershire sauce in the US, it is most definitely gluten free. It states it on the bottle. Soy sauce is not even listed as an ingredient. If soy sauce were an ingredient, it would list, usually in ( )the ingredients of the soy sauce. There are soy sauces without wheat
  22. Good point on the basting & juices. But most people put the thermometer in the bird meat, not the interior where the stuffing is. I just thought it was one more reason to make her gluten separate and not poison her dad.
  23. Simple answer, "NO!" There is no way you could keep the crumbs away from his turkey. Why don't you just make the stuffing in a separate pan? It's recommended from a food poisoning stand point. Saw a thing on TV about how lots of people end up with food poisoning Thanksgiving night from the stuffing in the turkey. The turkey juice drips in and isn...
  24. If you want to scare him, you can explain that it's medical negligence or out right child abuse, depending on where you live. Giving her something obviously full of wheat is not the same as thinking regular Rice Krispies are gluten-free. It's a deliberate act. If the teachers at school or her doctor find out he is doing this to her or not taking care of...
  25. People keep talking about how others seem to think white bread is OK for us. They think it's made of rice flour. My son was 14 & I told him. Typical teen, as he was actually listening, he heard 75% of what I said. He got really excited and said, " It is? It's not wheat flour! Are you sure?" If a 14 yr old male knows better....
