  1. Hi Bonnie! You could get some really fun wigs or hats! What about hair like Beyonce? Or a shocking pink bob? Perhaps a purple cowboy hat you have added "Accessories" to? Maybe a florescent green beanie with antenna like an alien? Please post pictures if you wear these! You might scare the cancer away!
  2. Yes. Thank goodness we only have a 3 car garage! We might have more! 1 driving college kid. That car only visits. 1 kid learning to drive & fixing up a car with Dad. My van, Hub's car & hub's toy Miata.
  3. The chicken is adorable. I even like the big bug. You know how you change one thing in your house & you have to change 6 more things? I got some new curtain valances for the kitchen. Was so happy that I found what I wanted at the first store I went to! Came home & realized the old curtain rods wouldn't work for these. So now we have...
  4. I think we posted at the same time. The oats are not grown at the same time as the rice. The oats or other plants are grown in the off season. They are composted back in, to enrich the soil. At least, according to the link about off season crops. Rice is grown in a lot of water. If you read the link, they mentioned something about draining the water...
  5. I'm going to call the Lundbergs on Monday. I'll Let you know what they say. They have always been nice people concerned with the quality of thier product. These oats that are grown in the rice fields would not be cc'd with wheat. However, if you are very sensitive to oats, that might be a problem. I'll report back. My understanding is that they...
  6. Febreeze does a good job on car odors. Also, supposedly, lots of newspaper and a closed car works. Must separate the pieces of newspaper and, for my van, I would need to steal a lot of paper from the neighbors. The paper is supposed to soak up the odor. There are car detailed that can wash the inside & get smells out. We have 5 cars. I can't...
  7. Not sure what recipes you are talking about? We have lots of recipes on here.
  8. I think we will try the Pate de Fruit this weekend. Its like a fancy fruit gummy. M would probably like to make the marshmallows sometime. I live in Kansas City. Its usually much colder by now. We have just been lucky.
  9. OMG! I'm laughing so hard! That is soooo true! I'm holding out for a Titanium digestive system transplant. I have one in his first year of mechanical engineering with a friend in bio-engineering. I'm hoping to get them working on this soon.
  10. I don't know this brand. I have been having problems with gluten-free snack chips or crackers with the cheesy flavors on the. I don't have a problem with dairy or soy or MSG but something upsets my stomach. I have gotten just dried cheese powder and it doesn't bother me. For me, I'll just avoid flavored chips & crackers.
  11. Will you be my Mommy? My personal chef? Marry me? The weather only just turned cold in the last few days (highs still 45-50) Probably wouldn't work. Do you have any bite sized desserts that I could make a day ahead for a party? Besides truffles. I have some of those recipe we like & I am going to make. They freeze well.
  12. Oh! We would probably be fine with it at my house. I will just keep them in the teen boys rooms until we want to eat it! No one will notice.
  13. So this is Christmas. By John Lennon
  14. I think champagne is very healing!
  15. Gives you more time to think of more questions!
  16. You like sumac? I love that stuff! I get it from a Halal grocery. The lady said they put it in soup for upset tummies when she was a kid. If you get it already ground, watch for the ones with salt added.
  17. Agree with the previous posters. I have a 2 boys - a freshman in college & a sophmore in HS. I probably wouldn't let mine go on either trip. I would have to know the people supervising. Or I would go, too. I can understand they may not know who they are going to help as that could change in a few months. Maybe look at what they did in the...
  18. I have to give you guys an update on the black tortilla chips. I warned M, (15) about the dye turning poop green or black. Didn't warn Hub. I thought he would know after all these years. He told me tonight he thought something was terribly wrong as he pooped bright green for 2 days. He finally figured it out & was relieved! Not sure why...
  19. Oh yeah! This, too. Make sure you have all the blood test results, an op report or procedure report and a pathology report. Did they test you for things like iron, ferritin, B12, vitamin D, calcium? These are things that can be low because you can't absorb them. It is also a good way to measure if you are healing. You can get the low ones repeated...
  20. Blood tests sometimes are negative but should be positive. But positive, is positive. You & Mom hold firm on that! Get a note on his prescription pad that says you have Celiac and must not eat any wheat, rye or barley. You will need to bring your own food if special accomendatons cannot be met. I have a note like that so when I go to FIRST...
  21. You are a wise woman for one so young. Writing down your questions so you don't forget is a great idea. Is your mom going, too? Make sure she has seen your questions & knows why you are asking before the appointment. She may want to add some. She may not realize some of the things you are asking about. I forget , did you have a positive blood...
  22. Maybe there's one on alcohol & you can get drunk!
  23. You seem to get cc'd or something from every manufactured product. Perhaps you should stick to minimally processed foods? Are you new to gluten-free? If so, perhaps you still haven't healed & got everything running smoothly yet?
  24. Over the River & thur the woods by everyone? or The Chipmunks Trying to insert a Christmas song.
