  1. I so enjoyed the video of your baby eating the apple. I had to feed my second child "real" food. He wouldn't eat mushy food. I talk to people about skipping the jars & they look at me like I'm nuts. I just cut stuff up really little.
  2. They were cooked in 3 hours in mine. Just 1 or 2 pounds. Single layer. No bones. I have been checking items at the store for sodium. The sad thing is, I'll do all this & they will make things about once then stop until the next time she swells up. They stopped doing some things they were told to do by the cardiologist, last time, because the GP...
  3. I am "writing" low sodium recipes for my folks. I thought I could say put this spice mix on the chicken & cook in the crockpot. Then I remembered who I was talking to - mainly my Dad who can barely heat water in a teapot. So here is an example: Crockpot Chicken Spray with Pam the inside of the crockpot. Put about
  4. Hub can tell them you aren't feeling well. He can meet them if he wants or tell them he has to get some stuff done quietly while you sleep. Maybe some stuff from his job since he has to take a day off & they are terribly busy right now? Vegas is sooo hot right now. Is there somewhere else we could meet? Maybe Jess's house? WE could commune with...
  5. So...let them call the police. There is no law that you have to answer the door. Move your car or go to Starbucks or the park, get a lemonade & relax. I've had people come to the door uninvited. They may figure I'm home. If I don't want to answer the door, I don't.
  6. CLose the blinds & don't answer the door. You don't have to flee your house. Put boxes everywhere, even if they are empty. Let hubby go to dinner with them. You are too busy getting packed.
  7. I'm not Shroomie but - First - A colonoscopy will not show Celiac ever. You need an endoscopy. A colonoscopy is for the large intestine. You need the endo for the small intestine. A Doc might want to do both to rule out any other issues. If you have been gluten free, The villa damage may have healed enough that it will be hard or impossible to get...
  8. That was your mistake! I shared some of the K- toos that are like Oreos with my boys. They liked them better than regular oreos. Now I must hide them.
  9. I can not have these! They are too dangerous! I can not stop eating them! Seriously, if I had found these before going gluten-free, I would have eaten them.
  10. Its safe. Just went to Trader Joes yesterday. They gave me the gluten-free list & policy. They say they will declare any gluten - it isn't hidden - in thier products.
  11. Your kids are pretty young, if I remember right. I think its normal, even if they were eating happily to get crabby. The heat, the walking & only interested in some of the things they are seeing. Would make me whiny & crabby. Its a vacation. Do what you want. If you want to go to a movie or order in one, do it. Sleep. Swim. Teach them a...
  12. Then they can all come with MIL to visit you! Trailers full of junk. People who know more than you on any subject. Gluteny crumbs spread throughout you house. People who won't talk to you unless they need you to do something for them. Too close for my liking.
  13. Have you talked this over with your OB? Maybe you should wait until your iron, ferritin, B12, D, calcium, etc are tested and in the normal range. This would give you a better chance at a healthy pregnancy.
  14. Ours is in our HOA but they don't pick up a lot of extra junk. They are too wound up in themselves. As they have done some evil things, I'm happy.
  15. Perhaps a flea infestation? Rabies? Give us their number! We'll set them straight! I would be happy to send them to live with my in-laws but I don't have their address just a general vicinity in Europe.
  16. Also, instruct your friends not to take anything off the trailer. Maybe even put it back on. Maybe if a few of them said, " you can't dump that junk here! They don't have room for it!". You shouldn't have to pay to have it hauled to the dump.
  17. You can't use the trailer that is full of junk. Print out the directions to the dump. Just because we are related, we don't have to like them or spend time with them. Imagine if you had a child with food intolerances! Maybe we could send your in- laws to live with mine? They are a whole ocean away!
  18. I'm thinking if they start unloading stuff, call the police. They are dumping their trash and that is illegal. Or get a bike lock and lock the trailer doors. Don't unlock it until they must leave. Can you move a day early & not give them the address? BIL should be ashamed of himself forhelping them. You have any relative they would listen to?
  19. Here's the ingredients: INGREDIENTS CELERY SALT (SALT, CELERY SEED), SPICES (INCLUDING MUSTARD, RED PEPPER, BLACK PEPPER, BAY [LAUREL] LEAVES, CLOVES, ALLSPICE [PIMENTO], GINGER, MACE, CARDAMOM, CINNAMON) AND PAPRIKA. PLenty of spices that could bother someone. I know pimento bothers me.
  20. I just got my behind up out of this comfy computer chair & trudged downstairs to the kitchen. My Old Bay lists only spices & salt. Doesn't say gluten-free but it is.
  21. My cousin-in-law posted this on facebook. I believe it explains alot. WARNING! As I was washing my hair today, I actually read my shampoo bottle-I am in shock!! The shampoo I use, that runs down my entire body says "for extra volume & body" OMG! Now I understand why I'm so "full-figured"! Tomorrow I am going to start using Dawn dish-washing liquid...
  22. Read the ingredients. I think is its just a mix of spices. I thought I looked at this once & it said gluten-free on the container?
  23. I agree. Just a CYA statement.
  24. Make sure the chicks aren't reading over your shoulder, this will scare them. M is working this week & next at an Outdoor education day camp. They came in today and the largest boa was missing from his cage in the little building. M said, " no biggie. I got him from behind some cages."
  25. Pulled pork (http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2009/01/crockpot-barbecued-pulled-pork-recipe.html) on an Udi's bun, cantelope & potato chips. New Planet beer.
