I had a kid that talked to a " Grandpa" in his room sometimes. My Irish Grandma was convinced it was her husband's ghost. My son was happy to talk to a Grandpa ghost so I didn't worry about it. He's 18 and still thinks it might have been a ghost - but it's a happy memory whatever it was. Do the voices bother her or affect what she does? That would...

She was actually happy with the lunch after all. She had either salmon or tilapia and it was good! Perhaps you can send smoke signals? Is there a Celiac forum using smoke signals? You'll have to get a grill for smoke signals! -

You can do pretty much anything for 2 weeks. Maybe not have the in-laws stay for 2 weeks, but pretty much everything else. You may find that after a few months, you could add dairy back in. If its a lactose issue, some dairy has little to none. I think hard cheese & yogurts but look that up first. -

Calcium is a mineral. Its found in lots of things. In the US, they would be required to list milk if it came from milk. You seem to really want your issues to be about dairy & not gluten, don't you? It could be both. It could be that after your intestines heal, you can digest some dairy again. What if you tried to be really gluten-free & dairy... -

Just looked up a brand of bunny food & it does have wheat in it. Its pellets so it won't be flying around in the air. -

I had a rabbit but never fed him wheat. I don't think they are supposed to eat that. Check out what they feed them. Maybe it isn't so bad? I would be more worried about what they are feeding her (if its the sleepover type camp). -
This makes me think you could get a replaement part. Right? So someone in an office could buy the replacement little black cup and use it for thier own K-cup. Take it out & put the office one back in. Keep it in thier desk.

ARCHIVED I Hate Celiac Disease!

THought I posted.....wonder where it went. Sometimes, waiting a couple of weeks helps when switching to gluten-free versions of gluten food. Makes your mouth forget the original stuff. My 18 year old still likes to put colored sugar sprinkles on his PB toast. Maybe that would make it better? -
ARCHIVED Opinions On Black Diamond Cheese

First - That post was from 2005. 6 years is a long time in product info. I eat the cheese because its cheese. As far as I can tell, a cheese factory makes cheese & maybe various dairy products. There is no reason to think there is wheat anywhere near the milk & cheese. Maybe in the breakroom? -
I didn't see that. I didn't read the really old stuff on this thread. I have had family memebers work at DQs over the years. I don't think you can dump the ice cream back in. It would be a real pain in the behind to do. Plus, it would be against Health Department code to put "used" ice cream back. Suppose it could happen but not likely. I have seen...

I am starting to see the potential in RVing! Use to think it was silly to haul a whole house around. Have a fun trip. Post the places you got food with a little review, please. -
What do you mean by "straining thing"? I think the main problem with DQ is when they get busy - like summer evenings. They are usually staffed by kids who hurry & may slop or use a spoon from one thing to the next. The liquid ice cream is poured into a machine from a package. The machine only has the ice cream in it. The liquid toppings seem to...

I found it! Open Original Shared Link Supporting National Celiac Disease Awareness Month, Frito-Lay to Label Several Products as Gluten Free May is National Celiac Disease Awareness Month, and in honor of this I am excited to announce that Frito-Lay will make gluten free claims on several of our products starting this year! Celiac disease is an autoimmune...

I think that Frito Lay has announced that a few products will be labelled gluten-free coming soon. These are products made in a factory where they don't use any gluten ingriedients. The others may have no gluten ingredients but may have been processed where they use wheat - either in the chip or in the flavoring(chili Fritos for example). They do clean...

A few people seem to have a reaction on their skin. The main problem for most of us is that you do eat the lotions or shampoos/ conditioners. They are made to stick to skin & hair. You put them on with your fingers. You use your fingers for food. Because they are supposed to stick to skin, they can be hard to wash completely off of your hands.... -
ARCHIVED Anyone LDS? How Do You Handle The Sacrament Bread?
kareng replied to terpeng's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Actually, for the Catholic church this is not true. They have gotten it into their heads that it must contain wheat. There is a very low low gluten wafer they will accept. However, receiving the wine ( blood of Christ) is considered equal to the wafer. Not trying to start a religious debate....just offer solutions. -

Apple & grape juice are better source of potassium than gatorade. Not that I think you are giving her gatorade but people always think that is such a good source of potassium. I have teen boys who work out in the heat alot and need extra potassium. Milk is also a good source. -

Would it help to show him info from a doctor? Open Original Shared Link I don't believe that God wants her to stay sick. God made us smart and he wants us to use our brains. We have discovered what makes her sick. Knowing that the wheat makes her sick, but still giving it to her, dishonors God's gift. Maybe someone on here has an LDS branch that... -

I wouldn't go to her house. I would make her come to yours. Her house and cooking stuff are probably full of gluten. It would be too easy for her to slip something to your kid or leave something laying around. Until she shows some trustworthiness at your house, I wouldn't even go to hers. Post the Aldi's question separate (if you haven't already).... -
You can make a blizzard with a blender. My kids like to get (actually, have me buy at the grocery) chocolate ice cream. They smash up Butterfingers or add PB and blend it up. A smidge of milk to make it blend better. You could add some peppermint oil for mint. Maybe crushed peppermints. Yum!
