  1. Read the ingredients. It's not like in the resturaunt when they would be fried in the same oil as flour tortillas or kids chicken nuggets.
  2. My kids had some blood tests for Celiac that they helped us figure out by email.
  3. I just looked at them on amazon dot com and they, Amazon, say gluten-free. Don't they say that on the pack? Read the ingredients and see if there is wheat or barley( malt).
  4. Would Chicago be closer or easier to get to? Open Original Shared Link I haven't seen them but they helped us figure out some odd blood results.
  5. We had a Xmas party for the people who work with my hub. It was all gluten-free. One of them brought a cheese ball (likely gluten-free but not in the strictest sense of cc at her house) and a box of Wheat Thins. Hub stopped her at the door, said we are doing gluten-free, we will leave the crackers by the coats & you can take them home. She was cool...
  6. Sounds like you were already diagnosed by an MD with out a cruel streak.
  7. Just remember to get your food first or have separate chips & salad you keep away from everyone.
  8. They missed one "type" we have in our Walmarts here: The ladies in $200 jeans, $900 Jimmy choos, & $40,000 diamond rings who spend 5 minutes fighting with the cashier about expired 20 cents off coupons.
  9. Here's a thought. Tell your hub that it is too overwhelming right now to deal with this food event with in-laws. He is welcome to go but you will stay home eating safely & happily. tell the family you aren't feeling well yet.
  10. Turning on the ceiling fan & get a glass of iced tea!
  11. Turning on the ceiling fan & get a glass of iced tea!
  12. I can't see the ingredients on line. They are a Conagra product so they will clearly label any gluten (Wheat, rye or barley). I bring reading glasses or a younger set of eyes with me to the store.
  13. Saw your title. Can't get that James Brown song, "I Feel Good" out of my head now!
  14. Just becareful of others making food for you. My mom wanted to make potato salad for me as the recipe is gluten-free. However, here cooking methods are not gluten-free. She will boil the potatoes in the same pot she just made pasta in. She will drain the potatoes in the same plastic colander she has drained pasta in for 20 years. Use the Miracle Whip...
  15. They pump air in to sort of inflate the intestines to get a good view. My dad had a lot left, they told him to lie on his left side for a while. Then switch it up, flip to your back or side. on your back, you can gently push down. Then stand & move around. Even a little food. You are trying to get the air/gas moving on out (if ya know what I mean...
  16. You told your hub about this dream?
  17. Hopefully, he biopsied? You will need to wait a few days for the path report to be sure that there is no damage. Celiac damage can be hard to see with just the endo camera.
  18. My son is GI ing to college at CSU. They have a gluten-free brewery there. There is a big ad at the edge of campus for gluten-free pizza! The college offers many different gluten-free cooking & baking classes.
  19. I'm a Canyon Bakehouse San Juan bread fan! They are also from Colorado, I think. I never liked white Wonder Bread. What is it about Colorado & gluten free? Could it become the Gluten Free Homeland?
  20. Sounds like you had a very "helpful" doctor back then. I would get new blood tests for the iron, etc. They might have been fine 3 years ago, but if you have been damaging your intestines, they could be worse now. In the upper right hand corner, there is a google search for this site. Put anxiety in & you will see a lot of posts about it it...
  21. Ok.You're young. Your parents didn't get enough help when you were diagnosed, I guess. Many doctor's know nothing about Celiac. Try to get your previous results. Not all Celiac damage are stomach/bathroom issues. Did the new doctor test your iron, B12, D, Etc? Low nutrients are a standard problem with untreated Celiacs. She should at least re-test...
  22. Jocelyn, I don't know much about the PCOS. I just know that I had been told I might get pregnant & loose them at 6-8 weeks. Fortunately, I have 2 big boys. We had decide if we wanted kids, we would get them either the "old fashion" way or adopt. CAll that doc. That's why you pay him the big bucks!
  23. Why don't you see if you can get a hold of your original labs for Celiac and the endoscopy path report and procedure report. If the endo was positive, you have Celiac and shouldn't be damaging yourself by eating gluten. The antibodies can also give you anxiety and alot of other damage that will catch up with you. You could get a blood test to see...
  24. First, I would stop telling everyone I know that I'm trying to get pregnant. That just puts more pressure on you. You can tell us, we won't see you at the store next week and ask if your pregnant yet. Did you call the fertility doc? Maybe you could run in for a blood test. That would be more accurate & let you know if you are making normal levels...
  25. This post is 6 years old. These people are usually not on the forum any longer. Have you tried googling on the internet "Celiac Support group mass"? I found this Open Original Shared Link
