  1. Is it OK if I IM you? Would you be in the Overland Park area?
  2. We were in Tahoe for spring break. Didn't find any gluten-free restaurants except one named Freshies. We didn't go so I can't say anything about it. The grocery near the casinos on the CA side, by the theater, Heavenly chair, Blue Dog Pizza (not gluten-free) had a good selection of gluten-free items if you need crackers or cookies. I think it's an Albertsons...
  3. I did not know this. Do all Frenchmen wear shoes capable of opening wine?
  4. I live in Kansas, too. KC area. If her doctor talks to them, will they listen? Is she a minor? If so, it could be considered child abuse if they don't take care of her illness.
  5. Hmmm... We'll... I guess you could sit in the lobby of the hotel and ask every guy with ugly shoes if he is French.f
  6. Just wanted to warn you. I know a few doc's that will write a script for 50 hydrocodone for a minor injury. But I know a few that are really worried about it and might misunderstand. Glad your back is so much better.
  7. Well, you can always agree on where to eat! Really, you can help each other and support each other. I wish I had someone near by that I could do this with.
  8. What in the World did they have in them? I try to read labels carefully, but sometimes my eyes glaze over after about the 3rd ingredient I can't pronounce.
  9. Please be sure to tell him what you already take. He will probably say that if that works, you don't need another script for more narcotic and potentially addicting drugs. I think you seem to know to be careful with these meds. Be careful that the GI doesn't label you as a person who is seeking extra pain meds. Let the regular doc know that you occasionally...
  10. Fab! We have been on a trip and forgot to bring a wine opener. Wish we had seen this very educational video. Why don't they teach these practical and important lessons in school?
  11. I probably wouldn't have eaten them because you don't know that she didn't chop the nuts in the same chopper she ground bread crumbs, cut fruit on a bread cutting board, etc. I might take one and pretend to eat it if I don't see her too often. If you see her a lot and that would encourage her to keep cooking for you, I think you would have to tell her....
  12. My hub & I were wondering, what is in soy free soy sauce?
  13. I'm enjoying a calorie free Bard's right now! All hail the Queen!
  14. Yea, but, were they yummy?

Sorry you are feeling so bad, honey. Could it be food poisoning? Just another happy thing to think about. What ever it is, feel better soon.

    ARCHIVED Suspicious

WOW Great, K8! I would still keep an eye on her just because she doesn't do this all the time and might make an honest mistake or forget something. My Hub sometimes forgets because some things are a habit he will have to break. The best in my house has been my 14 year old son who isn't Celiac. He reminds me sometimes and double...
  17. Queen Emily, you are wise ruler.
  18. I haven't done this type but others. I wash them, dry them & then cut them up like I would want them in a recipe. I spread them out on wax or parchment paper on a cookie sheet in the freezer. When frozen, put them in a freezer baggie. I freeze them on the pan so they don't stick in the baggie. Could package them up premeasued in the amounts you want...
  19. It's that Chex mix! It seems healthy and low calorie & it is. But... Who can eat 1 serving? You must eat the whole bowl or in my case the pan as it comes out of the oven!
  20. I go up and skip over to the wine. But I make sure it isn't the one the priest dropped a piece of host into. You must be awake & pay attention! . In the Catholic church, the wine is the same as the host. If you know any Eucharistic ministers explain that is what you are doing. Also, let the priest know so he can spread the news.
  21. That sounds yum! There was also a recipe on here back in Feb? with instant potatoes and parm that sounded good.
  22. He looks good! I tried the "waiting a respectable time" before getting a new dog and it was the saddest 3 months ever. Couldn't wait any longer as M was having real problems without a dog. Had his first grade friends telling me he was always sad about Cali. This last time I waited 2 weeks, because it was the holidays, then starting looking for Cooper.
  23. Where is everyone? I can watch the cup and typeewl.
  24. My post disappeared! I guess I didn't push the right button or my computer is deleting my boring posts. The guys decided to drive down instead of fly because we are having pop up storms. Will take 2 hours to drive vs. 1/2 hour to fly.
