  1. ITS ICY SNOW SLUSHING HERE. Am green with envy!!
  2. Poor Dingo-dog. Last time she was in a car, an evil vacuum attacked her & threw her out the window. No wonder she was nervous. I probably couldn't get Puppy back in a car after that. Ooohhh!!!! AAHHH!!! WOW!!!
  3. Thanks. The TX weather has me green with envy. You may have created a monster. This is phun.
  4. Is there anyway to make this print green? I'm so jealous. Rained & tried to snow all day yesterday. Today & Sunday the same. I'm moving to TX for the winters - don't care for the summers.
  5. Me & 1 of the teens always loved lemon chiffon cake. I think we could like orange, too. Will give this a try. Thanks
  6. Actually, I never allowed my hospital to give info to anyone who called in. It is the responsibility of the MD or hospital to protect the info. I can't be sure who is really calling & found a lot of people who were not who they said they were. We would call back to that hospital or the home number & find they knew nothing about wanting info. If...
  7. In the US the info contained in a medical record is yours but... a hospital or md has the right to charge you for the "costs" to get a person to copy them for you. I've been out of this for a while but I know that several courts upheld that a fee of $15 plus $1 per page was valid. Sent directly to another MD for care is free. I'm not sure of the rules...
  8. I know where all the red Canada mittens went.... Oprah just gave them to her audience.
  9. I've already met the whole family deductable this year by meself. If they don't code this last procedure right, I'll have met the family out-of-pocket max (we pay 20% of allowable after deductable). Its the year to get everything done because I've already paid. That's the good thing about hot tubs. No one knows
  10. So the grandchild knows what foods she can choose from: Duct tape comes in fun colors like pink & red. I use red to show everyone else not to mess with my jam, etc. You could get her favorite color & put it on the food she can choose to avoid her getting something else when you're not looking.
  11. Cupcakes sound great! Will try the chocolate. I ate it with more brown sugar than is good for me. I'm giving on Monday. I hope I can do it with your grace & style.
  12. From past experiences with Olympic venues (Salt Lake City): Because these are so popular, you can probably get them after the Olympics. For at least 1 year before and 3 years after, you could get SLC Olympic stuff at gift stores. I think the mittens were made for charity to pay for the Olympics. We were at Whistler last year & got our Olympic shirts...
  13. Thanks for this. Hub & 1 teen are wanting chili & favorite seasoning has wh$@t (banned word). We were going to wing it but its nice to have a place to start.
  14. Important Crock Pot Update Yum!
  15. Whoa!!! Much cooler then one of those Billy the Singing Bass. Ssshh! Don't tell Hub. He will want to go to the little lake & catch a fish to hang up.
  16. Just saw Bob of Bob's Red Mill on the ABC news. He is giving the company to the employees.
  17. I'm just starting the gluten-free life. I have tried stuff I compare to the kind full of wheat. I think that if I wait a few weeks, I'll like it better because I won't be comparing it to regular. I found a local gluten-free bakery that makes Cinnamon aplle donut holes that are better then any wheat filled kind I've had. Plus, lots of stuff you already...
  18. Finally found the Burly Robed Messenger's Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal. Just made some for lunch as I still have a headache (may be gluten withdrawl). Loved it! Its a cross between Cream of Wh#@t & Oatmeal, 2 of my old favorites. On to the chocolate as it replaces the endorphins my brain is supposedly missing.
  19. Crock Pot Update: Kitchen starting to smell like stew. Yum!
  20. I used to make oven baked with crushed cornflakes. Haven't made it in a while but I'm going to with gluten-free cornflakes. There was just another thread a day or so ago about using Rice Chex for crunchy toppings.
  21. You're all invited. Pretty safe invite since most of you live a bit far to get here by supper. And because you are all a safe distance - I just got the best apple cinnamon donut holes from a local gluten-free bakery in town. Better than any donuts with wheat bits I've had. Makes you suspicious of whats really in them? I'm afraid it is something addictive...
  22. Don't feel phunny this a.m. Going to make beef stew in the crock-pot so that may be funny & delish.
  23. I've been using Krafts & Kens. I hope I can find that Papaya Poppyseed sounds great!
  24. Hey Jason. I agree with the person who said to find small joys. When I'm depressed with this, I try to just go outside & watch the birds & my dog (not as sick as that sounds - he ignores the birds). Accomplish something little - clean & wipe out 1 shelf in the fridge, 1 load of laundry, etc. Also, you might check some of the churches in your...
  25. I bet these people were loud & rude before you had Celiacs. Might want to minimize the amount your around them. If not Celiacs, they would probably find something else to bother you about.
