  1. but cycling, she was + on two IgA tests INSPITE of being deficient!!
  2. since you tested prediabetic, i would bet on that, type II
  3. if i were you... i would try an elimination diet...
  4. perhaps it a food intolerance to what you have added/increased in your diet since going gluten free??
  5. yoo hoo, hey,hey....a rash sounds like an allergy, not celiac, which is autoimmune.....
  6. are you anemic, sl hyper thyroid? with a metabolism like yours, you are not going to gain wt. perhaps an endocrinologist is the next stop...
  7. those two genes cover about 97% of celiacs, so it is possible to have celiac without those genes.
  8. don't change eating habits till testing is done.
  9. as Raven has said, not all celiacs have one of those genes, the test is not particularly helpful. why are you trying to avoid the "gold standard" endo?
  10. but you don't need to be eating gluten for that testing... YOU done.
  11. with positive blood tests why are you bothering, i could think of many things to spend that money on.
  12. if you have a positive biopsy, why do you need blood tests? the biopsy is the "gold standard".
  13. caffeine relaxes the cardiac sphincter at the top of the stomach... perhaps the chocolate is your issue?
  14. only thing off is your vit D is low, perhaps fixing that will help?
  15. do you perhaps have acne inversa? i looked for pictures, didn't find decent ones.
  16. apparently, on a healed celiac, is at about the same place as a non celiac. so, if you vaxed an gluten eating celiac, you may need to do it again, AFTER healing.
  17. i would be having a not so nice discussion with the doc who lied about doing all the tests....
  18. if your niece's doctor is wanting to do an endo on a kid that has been gluten free..... i wouldn't trust their opinion. now, if he is requiring a gluten challenge firs, maybe. one of the "negative" tests is really close to being positive. and it is hard to get positives on kids.
  19. well, isn't that interesting. doesn't prove celiac?
  20. see if the lab kept the spec. and they can retest?
  21. well he is full of it, and should be doing the endo at the same time. they like to separate them to make more money.
  22. always get your lab results, with norms! good luck
  23. it would not surprise me if your middle one with the cardiac issues, is also celiac...
  24. it is cheaper for insurance if you don't test, if you belong to an HMO sort of insurance the docs are the financial gate keepers.
