  1. the jugular so close to the ear may be the cause of pulsatile tinnitus. The fact that you didn't stop the supplement at least 4/5 days before testing, negates that testing. large doses of B12 appear to be in your future!
  2. they want to control, and isn't she? she is getting everything she wants.
  3. Do you live with her, or does she live with you? Not trying to split hairs here. If you live with her, she is the alpha female, the other way around you are and need to make that point. if it is the first, take your toaster into your bedroom and leave it there when not in use, or even toast your bread there and bring it out the kitchen/dining room. Should...
  4. one word...puberty
  5. could be an unknown glutening.....perhaps a B12 def.
  6. remember, a lab test is a "snap shot" in time....
  7. just what the NP said, early celiac. Now, get yourself some Vitamin D3 at the grocery/vitamin store and take the same dose of that, that the doc prescribed. Now, the B12, try finding the methyl- form, there are a few stores now carrying, if you don't find it, try on line. A little sun every day is good as well. good luck
  8. I have said this before, some of these MDs need reporting to the AMA.
  9. hey, dStess, make your own post, so your question doesn't get lost! good luck
  10. I have to supplement Magnesium, and occ potassium....you need to be very careful with the potassium. Are you taking a calcium supplement? Vitamin D?
  11. yup, need a lot more medical support here. You need the vitamin D, especially while nursing. You cant give the kid enough, if you don't have it. There is some thought that some "child abuse" cases have been actually severe D def. The Ca++/D supplements don't have enough D in them to matter much. Thorough testing, and come back with your numbers, good...
  12. argh, had several lines typed and PUFF. any way....if your B12 is under 500, you probably need supplementation. good luck
  13. much too low, good luck
  14. well, I was going to be somewhat crude...but decided to check it out first...Open Original Shared Link , and there are others. If that doesn't get a man's attention, I don't know what will, lol.
  15. Umm, you may not test positive, but you are. If you had NO problem with gluten, you wouldn't react to its lack......
  16. I would be thinking more along the line of a TIA, than a HA. keep a detailed diary, see if you can correlate symptoms with some sort of activity. ?cervical issues? spine doc/chiro ?
  17. caffeine relaxes the cardiac sphincter, the muscle at the bottom of the esophagus. Don't just stop all caffeine because you may end up with a withdrawl H/A. Also, are you taking the Carafate as order? and in tab or liquid? the liquid/suspension, would be more appropriate in your case.
  18. all prev posters are being logical, insurance co. are not nec so. However, I think there is a federal law forbidding this. But proving it may not be easy. edit: I think the law applies only to health insurance...
  19. what is your B12 level, commonly the number used in the USA is much too low....it should be over 500.
  20. I don't get the "it is to specialized" line, on the total IgA testing. Makes.no.sense. at.all.
  21. you need Nora! and where is the other half?
  22. It is fairly unusual to have an infant test positive...you can pretty much "take it to the bank". there is a fairly high false neg rate, nearly nil for false positive. good luck
  23. don't think that was her point.....
  24. check for cross contamination. has he been visiting relatives/friends? school ending parties? etc
  25. ...and it's REALLY not okay to not change your gloves after changing garbage. YUCK. lacking education, many persons in food service treat gloves as self protection only. when I worked food service, it was well before glove wearing came into common practice....and we were taught as good or better hand hygiene than when I went to nursing school.
