add a WEE bit of simple sugar, you will recover more quickly.....
  2. Food poisoning can hit anywhere from hours to days after exposure...
  3. oy! drinking the milk of an other species, we are the only ones to do that! check out other sources of Ca++! Vitamin D, very important, having suffiecient levels aids in Ca++ absorbtion. often cramping is too little mag rather than too little Ca++.
  4. check out "acne inversa" ...
  5. Vitamin D level? Check that out before going over board on the Ca++.
  6. Did the ped share with you that he/she thought it was psych? or did they only report that to the school? The second option would be totally unacceptable!
  7. Get tested for hypothyroid.....like, yesterday!
  8. you may need dr prescribed supplements for the K+ (potassium), Magnesium, I would suggest mag delay or mag 64, this are usually found at the pharmacy counter, though they are OTC.
  9. steroids suppress your immune system! therefore that testing was inaccurate...
  10. This is basically useless, on its own. If this represents "total" IgA, it is normal. But where are the celiac tests?

    ARCHIVED Accutane?

he may need a much more limited diet, Vit D. probiotics, digestive enzymes. Just acne, or perhaps 'acne inversa'?
  12. biopsy during a colonoscopy is NOT for celiac. Hopefully it was done during the endoscopy?
  13. yup, not celiac testing...
  14. still going to contain cobalt....would seem from what i read that it appears to be more dermatitis than true allergy. would be interested if lasga has been fully tested for other potential allergens..
  15. Maybe, they need to run an total IgA to know...
  16. the only potential for gluten contamination would be from terrible processing...ie, contaminated from the intestines of the animal slaughtered. This may be an issue with fowl.
  17. known phenomenon, that some women lose the ability to take benadryl as they approach 60. Gives them restless leg/agitation instead of the sedation.
  18. what were the total IgA for ea child, without that the testing is meaningless.
  19. how many samples were taken in the small intestine? is it possible you were on imunosupressive therapy at the time of the second blood test? regardless, need to repeat new up to date, celiac panel. Then try the diet for 3-6 months, scrupulously! good luck.
  20. Yup, doc needs reporting, ASAP.
  21. 1) your husband is wrong. 2) yes, you should have your daughter tested. 3) If you intend to have a biopsy, don't go gluten free yet.
  22. get your son tested NOW. do not wait. then you both go guten free. The advantage of dx for you in the UK is there is some recompense from you NHS for gluten free food. good luck
  23. Hmmm, perhaps being celiac would count as being immunocompromised???
