  1. inre: the bold....ask your mother if you can be a "little bit pregnant?" also, that range on TSH is VERY old. the current one is that it is desirable to be under 2.5. Your mom is in denial that you, her child, is ill. So it is up to you to get the work done, to get better. good luck.
  2. sounds like pretty typical withdrawl..
  3. hopefully you are aware the carafate needs to be taken on a totally empty stomach, nothing to eat 2 hours before nor 1 hour after? if there is a chance that the pain you are feeling is esophogeal, the suspension may be a better form. Good luck
  4. remember that constipation is more than not having a bowel movement. If you have diarhea for three days, the problem goes away, why would you expect to have a bowel movement the next day? It takes time to travel from the stomache to the anus....A day or more if the intestines are working properly.
  5. nutritionist is not a legally protected title in the US. Dietician is. good luck
  6. Hmmm in nursing school we were taught to nurse the patient, not the numbers,...

  9. silveylane, on 17 November 2011 - 06:56 PM, said: Side note: My husband has suffered some neurological episodes in recent months and so I also had to accompany him to a Neurologist/psych. Great guy. I mentioned the kid to him and how the gluten-free was giving him relief. He so calmly said, "Then why do you want a blood test -- obviously, he is either...
  10. In reference to bold....not everything is food related....
  11. presuming the pH meter is supposed to be giving readings on stomach, it is WAY to high, and therein may lie you problem.....good luck
  12. perhaps it is also what you are NOT eating in its place?? 4 cups of ONE vegetable wouldn't seem balanced to me.
  13. Since, in general, the human body is MADE to be touched by the sun......10 minutes causing damage would be rare...if you are talking photosensitivity caused by drugs we are on another subject. And I did specify SMALL amounts of sun.....
  14. check your thyroid med, make sure it is guten free. Check for B12 def., or just take it orally on an empty stomache, methylcobalamin preferred.
  15. neuro/electrolytes/carpal tunnel?
  16. In you OP you don't give a unit of measure, so what is it?
  17. OP....are you taking a B12 supplement? the fact that you are Vit B12 repleat explains your low end MCV....at least partly....did they measure folate? good luck
  18. Sky... you first link has no problem with levels up to 100, your second link is an embarassment to science, and the 3' one is recommending 80.....
  19. If you want more children, you may not want to take the time for a complete celiac work up....I am thinking you are not in your early 20's......If you can get a COMPLETE celiac blood panel drawn very soon, do it. otherwise, get serious with the gluten free diet and all other gluten free things. and new kitchen ware, etc.
  20. No, won't be positive on the IgE testing just because you are celiac. Two different classes of antibodies are involved. So, if you are positive on IgE, you have a classic allergy. If you also test positive on celiac testing, then you ALSO have celiac. Two different reactions to the same protein. Two reasons to remain wheat/gluten free.
  21. Allergy testing is not the same thing as intolerance testing.....actually, I don't think there is a test for intolerance, except the diet.
  22. lol, can you see them running thru the wheat field eating it????
  23. were you gluten free at the time of testing? If so the testing is invalid. good luck
  24. Yes, and Yes.....a true, IgE, allergy to wheat has NOTHING to do with either gluten intolerance or Celiac disease.
