  1. The ED isn't the place for ongoing care. She needs to be seen and worked up by her pediatrician
  2. neither cows milk, nor soy are needed. Why not leave them out?
  3. Remember that he needs to be eating a "full" gluten diet for at least e3 months before testing. And that the endoscopy may still be required under that healthcare system.
  4. why would you want to?
  5. Is it possible the DAN doc did only the IgA panel?
  6. what form of magnesium are you using? Keep in mind what MOM is....lol. If you can get it Mag64 or Magdelay probably would work better for you. If prednisone helps, you probably have inflammation going on from something.... good luck
  7. I'm thinking that is the reason it works....perhaps you need to have your testosterone levels checked? Alson, some antibiotics have antiinflammatory effects, which may be why the work, and not nec the anti bacterial component.
  8. Obviously there are multiple factors going on here. I would suggest getting a 3-5 hour glucose tolerance test, and FASTING INSULIN testing. And adding small amounts of meat more frequemtly. good luck
  9. "old rule of thumb" for girls, take father's ht. and subtract 5-7 inches. Boys, the opposite. In you case she is doing better than that already. of course, if dad is a celiac, then that rule wouldn't apply if she were gluten free. How tall are dad's sibs, if he has any?
  10. That was my thought, that the ttG was +, which means that the person in question tested + on that one celiac test....
  11. I sm thinking the nephew would be a 2' degree relative, not 1'. The parent that is your sib should be tested (actually both parents) if positive would bring more wt. to bear in trying to get tested...If you feel like a little confrontation, ask the doc to deny you in writing.
  12. But, would they bother to mention the EMA, in the results, if it hadn't been done? An obvious case were the actual results from the lab are necessary.
  13. Open Original Shared Link first identified in the 1' century AD.
  14. how old is stepson? and remember that he could have gotten the genes(if he is indeed celiac) from his mom. good luck
  15. ANTI=TPO is a thyroid test, i think.
  16. We have at least one poster here that was dx with RA (I think) and had the joint pain go away with gluten free diet. Also, hopefully you are aware of the carb/PCOS relationship? good luck
  17. Endomysial antibody (EMA) is screened using an ELISA tissue transglutaminase (tTG) assay. If tTG IgA is 20 units or greater, then EMA titer will be added. All positives are titered to endpoint. ???? this is what i found, it would seem his tTG was probably positive? but the EMA negative. good luck
  18. T beat me to the "surgery as trigger"....i would also be thinking scar tissue within the abdomen perhaps preventing preg. and causing pain....good luck
  19. what are you hoping to learn? what would change in your approach? may well be a waste of money.
  20. I wanted to give you a +1 instead hit the - sign. Sorry!
  21. but what about persons that were refused the biopsy because they were gene negative?
  22. What was their excuse for NOT running the total IgA? The info you obtained is basically useless without it.....geesh
  23. I would guess it was Versed, some persons don't do well with that drug. A fair amount of controversy about it. There are other drugs that can be subbed. good luck
  24. Were there is one celiac, (in a family) there is commonly more....take the whole household gluten free. Also, you dont WANT to see those secondary sex characteristics of facial hair and voice change, till after some sig growth....good luck
