  1. YES, some antibiotics can make certain person feel that way! especially that class.if you need ABT in the future ask if there are any in a different class that the "bug" is suseptable to. Good luck
  2. did you start a new bottle of thyroid med shortly before your problems started? The pharmacy will fill the script with whatever generic they have on hand, so it could conceivably change every time you have it filled. check out the brand name, i think it does contain gluten.....and check out the various generics. good luck
  3. The neuro issues may take longer to go away, and may never completely recede. That said, i think my balance issue turned out to be CoQ10 def, rather than celiac/gluten intolerance, so perhaps you should check into that as well. And, yes, you need to get the NUMBERS on your lab tests, never trust the docs to see the big picture....good luck
  4. HOWEVER, if you are going to file complaints, do it WITHOUT telling them you are going to....otherwise you run the risk of them reporting you for neglect/abuse to protect their license!
  5. is it possible that your gut is so damaged that the p.o. prednisone is not being absorbed? perhaps you need it IV?
  6. A "little bit" celiac, is like being a little bit pregnant....
  7. I would second the grain free trial....at least cereal free...gluten free processed cereal is not necessarily gluten free, but gluten very light.....and maybe not light enough for you!
  8. i'm thinking the counter top may be a problem.....check with a place like lowes or home depot and see if there is such a thing as food safe sealer...if not you would have to dig out the grout and regrout or simply keep any and all food of the countertop....good luck
  9. ?untreated celiac?
  10. Are you taking D2 or D3? D3 is the preferred. And I, too, had a good laugh at your OCD line, lol.
  11. spelling not bad, lol....take out the first 'l' and put in a 'U'
  12. no need to restrict breakfast to "breakfast" foods.....keep it simple at first, stay away from manufactured "gluten free" foods.
  13. 5. Drywall and Building Supplies If you're renovating your home or even just doing some minor repairs, you should know that some of the products you may use contain gluten ingredients. For example, some brands of drywall and almost all of the compounds used to conceal drywall seams ("mudding" compounds) contain wheat as an ingredient, as do the spackle...

  15. think of the nausea brought on by a smell....it obviously doesnt originate in the gut, but in the brain....potentially the feelings of nausea could be delayed by the fact that the food is not causing a gut level issue, but in the brain after being absorbed from the (damaged) gut....something like a "red wine" headache.
  16. Remember, that being nauseated can be centered in the brain....you may be looking at issues eaten earlier in the day that have been digested and absorbed and gotten by the blood brain barrier......
  17. the cracks at the corners of your mouth a likely from a def. of one of the B vitamins, riboflavin i think, so a good gluten free B complex might be a good idea
  18. all three thing are prob. tied together...albumin attracts fluid into the vascular space, there by maintaining BP and if the fluid leaks out d/t low albumin, voila edema!...could she have a protein malabsorbtion issue?
  19. celiac being autoimmune, it is no surprise that it wanes during pregnancy.
  20. go dairy free...sometimes casein is constipating.....mag ox is very poorly absorbed...which is one reason it can cause diarrhea.

  23. i would wonder if it might be tied into a particular genentic subgroup? it would seem possible that the intestinal damage may predispose one to Ca...
