  1. do you write for a living? I could "feel" the pain, frustation, sadness....almost painfully so.
  2. No, SIBO is small intestine bacterial overgrowth....or something close, lol. bacteria an yeast are two different things.
  3. I believe the upper range on the TSH should be 3.5, in which case you are hypo....also get your T3 checked...my TSH fell when i went gluten extremely lite....2.54 to 1.8......
  4. Whaat was your TSH? That B12 is very low, since you are symptomatic you should endeavor to get it over 500. the TSH should be under 3.5....and, again, since you are symptomatic, rx may be nec even at that level. good luck
  5. it seems the best test is already positive....
  6. did you have the colonoscopy that you mentioned, or an endoscopy (oral)? because celiac is not dx with a colonoscopy
  7. make sure your meds are gluten/wheat starch free.....if the brand name is,doesnt mean the generics are, and v/v.
  8. sooo.....until you quit baking with wheat flour, you were continously contaminated by gluten......
  9. this would be compazine in the USofA...have no idea if it is wheat free here...
  10. what you really want is muscle gain and you are unlikely to get that with high fat food.....untill/unless the med issue can be resolved he may remain very slim.

  12. you know those businesses where you can order meals by the week and they are delivered? maybe there is a business op. here. If not that, maybe some weekly networking with like minded and have big cooking party?
  13. there is debate whether gluten will pass into breast milk...if you find your experiment is successful, i would wonder if it wouldnt prove that YOU should be gluten free? If it is passing through your breast milk, it has to be making its way into your blood stream, a state i would think that is not normal. On the other hand, what about your personal care...
  14. Connie, think of it this way, it is not a mental health issue, but a physical health issue. The gluten is attacking your brain so that it can not function in a proper way. You need to exclude it, to preserve your neuro function.
  15. my bet is on the potassium in your salt substitute.
  16. we must remember, as raven mentioned, that the persons availing themselves of Enterolab are a self selected group. In that group, it would stand to reason the + rate would be high.
  17. you may not find any, try a "health food" store, or on line
  18. the body uses methylcobalamin....a small subest of persons lack the capacity to convert, for them it is nec. to start with the methylcobalamin instead.
  19. on an empty tummy? no food for an hour after....
  20. others have touched on this.....there is MUCH more going on here than your diet issues. Frankly i would recommend some counseling in how to set limits and deal with your family (i have some experience with a parent like this!) you are no longer a child, and must no longer act the part. They (she) will treat you like one as long as YOU tolerate it! Good...
  21. how soon after eating peanuts, do you get the migraine?

  23. apparently, the genes need an "instigating" event to cause the disease process to unfold......i would say that your parents are either in the 20% of false negatives, or, simply lucky and never had that "event"... perhaps they each have one gene and you inherited both???
