  1. oh,oh,oh! this doc is a KEEPER!
  2. find out if that person is a nurse, if he/she is, report them to the board for malpractice. i DO NOT mess around.
  3. another one of THOSE docs.......hmmm ^%#$**^$@
  4. that would be negative, but that test does not catch ALL celiacs.
  5. I am SOOOO angry for you, at this moment! you should have stayed on the diet, but why would you when you were told it was neg! 5 miscarriages, 5! have to stop before the language gets me banned.
  6. no... they meant the label may say gluten free, but the food may not be...
  7. the only way to be sure you are not pregnant, is that you were totally abstinent. something has altered you hormones, see a doc.
  8. Gem, check into Vitamin D, into dry eye.
  9. absolutely let that fever go up to at least that, UNLESS you have a history of febrile sz. The fever is death to the virus, let your body do its job.
  10. why, thank you, ma'am.
  11. No, it is not, many persons have the gene and don't have celiac. If you are in the USA they do not test for all potential genes, so you could end up with a false negative. gluten challenge is the way to go.
  12. if you were really good on the gluten free diet, a week back on gluten was not enough. 8-12 weeks is the recommendation. and, get the whole panel done.
  13. i am thinking you may be LADA, latent autoimmune diabetes of adult, type one, of course. Not to hit you when you are down, but now is the time to realize that you eat to live, not live to eat. find a different source of sensual enjoyment, ie photo, painting, singing, etc. and "hold your nose" and eat what you need to live well.
  14. it is very clear that you are, are you in denial?
  15. two +'s, one fairly strongly so. need biopsies, keep eating gluten till then.
  16. raven, thought of you when i read this post. it is important that we all remember that DQ 2+8 DO NOT cover ALL celiacs, and probably less than is actually claimed.
  17. your doc sounds like a keeper.
  18. there is fine, and there is fine. get copies of results, ASAP. WNL, is not always "fine".
  19. what changed just prior to the onset of symptoms? remember, you have to read all labels all the time. companies can change ingredients at any time with out notification of any kind. good luck
  20. not positive, but definitely trending upward.
  21. my usual tune, follow the money...
  22. magnesium is primarily an intracellular electrolyte, but the measurement is extracellular. so you really need the number on that one, not just "normal". you may be in the bottom of the normal range, and deficient intracellularly. I would suggest something besides magnesium oxide, such as gluconate..even the rub on lotions
  23. it would be interesting to know whether you are using that potassium up somehow, or losing it thru the kidneys, if the second need to see a nephrologist, i would think.
  24. she is looking for the damage that would be expected...anemia etc.
