  1. You are both in my thoughts tonight. {{{hugs}}}
  2. Kraft will clearly disclose any source of gluten in their products. All you have to do is read the label. If you don't see the gluten, it isn't there. Most of their dressings are gluten-free, but I can't speak specifically to the ranch as I don't use it.
  3. I can't see anywhere where gluten could be hiding in that ingredient list. It looks perfectly safe to me.
  4. Ask your pharmacist. They may have to ask the manufacturer. In North America, gluten in Rx meds is relatively rare. When starch is needed as a binder for a tablet, it is typically corn starch that is used. Corn is abundant and inexpensive here.
  5. Truly an august occasion this time around.
  6. Leave me out of it.
  7. Also, check to be sure you are looking in the forums. If the last thing you did was look at a personal message or user profile, it will be telling you that there are no new users registered. Click on "Forums" and then "New Content." You can also click on "Today's active content" at the bottom of the main page to see topics with activity in the last 24...
  8. The poster is in Australia, so this information may not apply in other countries.
  9. Actually, gluten-free food makers located here in Canada include El Peto, Glutino, Kinnikinnick, and Tinkyada. Depending on where you are, it may be difficult to find a store that carries them.
  10. Imodium is gluten-free.
  11. I have no personal experience with them, but others have posted in the past about Open Original Shared Link as an online source of single serving you-name-it. The products are name brands, so you can check out the gluten-free status before ordering.
  12. There are no dumb questions, although you may see some dumb answers.
  13. In my ten years as a celiac, I have never seen bacon with gluten. I'm not saying it is impossible, but if there is one out there we don't know about it.
  14. Yeah, I'm not sure that article serves our community and benefit. These posts by admin of links are an automated process, triggered by the presence of certain key words in media articles. "Celiac disease" is, of course, one trigger, and what caused this to get posted.
  15. I'm not sure where that list came from, but it is full of long-discredited information, particularly in light of FALCPA, which has been in effect since January 1, 2006. Malt is a valid issue--it comes from barley. If any of the other things contain wheat, it will be explicitly stated as "wheat."
  16. I do hope that it came out the front. It could be messy coming out the back.
  17. It wanted me to log into something. I didn't pay a lot of attention to what.
  18. At them moment, it won't work for me either. I looked at the link, and tried remvoving the qualifiers, but it just won't load for me. I get a screen that says the link is no longer available, and that I should check my bookmarks.
  19. Just because it doesn't say "gluten-free" doesn't mean it has gluten. With the legal definition of gluten-free under debate (still) in the USA, and with filing lawsuits being the new national pastime (anybody remember baseball?), a lot of companies are no longer putting gluten-free on the label, even though the product is, in fact, gluten-free. Sorry about...
  20. I'm ten years into this. Your favorite stuffing can be made by substituting gluten-free bread for the regular kind. For pumpkin pie, you will likely have to make your own filling, as all of the prepared ones that I have seen contain wheat flour. Of course, the pie crust needs to be gluten-free as well. We have had great results with the pie crust mix from...
  21. Rice is a grain, but it is one that celiacs can eat. A few of us are intolerant to rice, but that is a small minority. White rice is white because the outer layer of bran has been ground off. The bran contains important nutrients, as well as being a source of fiber. Whole grain rice is rice with the bran still on it, and because of the color it is also...
  22. I have balls again. Tis hot in the kitchen. Pizza crusts cooling on the table, balls in the freezer, loaf of bread on the way in the bread machine, and totally jam-packed dishwasher doing its thing.
  23. I have no balls left. Must do somefin bout dat.
  24. A few years ago, Rice Dream listed barley as an ingredient. Today, the manufacturer does not list barley and labels the product as gluten-free. Did the product change, or are they now hiding the barley and lying about it? You decide.
  25. Hi, Lisa! No OBX pix that I can recall.
