  1. No, not necessary. I just wash them.
  2. I do it that way at buffets. Works out fine for me. I just don't do anything with a sauce or cooked in a sauce.
  3. Very unrealistic but I agree that the American diet is way too heavy on refined carbohydrates. I am in medicine and see soooo many type 2 diabetics which is largly a disease of lifestyle. When you question them about what they eat, it is bread, pastry , bagels for breakfast, sandwiches, chips, fries for lunch and pastas, more bread etc. for dinner. Celiac...
  4. You don't really need to go to an Asian market if it is hard to find. Most major grocery chains have these things in the international food aisle. I have bought rice crackers and rice noodles there. Also, don't buy corn and rice flour in the health food stores. It is much more expensive there. I keep a bag of Goya fine white corn flour or rice flour around...
  5. I am completely spontanious and always find a good amount of choices on a regular menu in nice restaurants.
  6. Personally, I find the nicer the restaurant, the easier it is.

I guess + is similar to the "like" button on facebook.
  8. Thanks, but my F5 is set for speaker volume control.
  9. Thanks, top of the mountain Taos, New Mexico. Oh such high altitude!
  10. OK, figured it out. Quitting the browser Firefox and reopening essentially refreshes everything. DUH!
  11. OK, this is weird. I didn't see a refresh. Is that a PC thing? I quit out of firefox and reopened in Safari and voila, my new photo is there. don't understand that and I'm pretty computer literate.
  12. No, this is the old one that won't go away.
  13. I have tried several times to change my avatar photo and profile photo. I go to "edit profile and select "change avatar". I go to "Browse" and select the photo which by the way is the correct size, less than 50 KB. Then hit "save changes" and nothing happens. Same when trying to change profile photo. (also the correct size)
  14. No, I was diagnosed 20 years ago and have hardly been sick except for a rare cold about once every 3 years lasting 3 days. The flu does not cause GI symptoms, it is a respiratory illness causing congestion, fever aches, chills. Open Original Shared Link An intestinal virus causes the symptoms you are describing and the "flu" shot does nothing to prevent...
  15. Just come to those of us who are veterans Never did let it run my life.
  16. DITTO! My own husband who is a physician ordered his own prescription from Canada and tell his patients who can't afford their to do the same. He tells them to make sure they do it from a pharmacy that requires a prescription. His arrived in 2 days and was exactly the same brand and company as here. BTW skied in Canada many times, love it.
  17. I've been hearing a lot lately about how "cutting waste" from the health care system in the US is the way they are planning on paying for health care reform.
  18. Regarding the anemia: I was diagnosed 20 years ago and one of my main symptoms was a severe iron deficiency anemia that did not respond to iron replacement. Now about food. I keep gluten free pizza shells in the freezer and just put on my own toppings. Also, think about using a crockpot. You can put up stews, chili, soups etc. You can use any stew recipe...
  19. Perfectly fine using my Mac, Firefox browser and Verizon FIOS connection.
  20. I always use Firefox and never have a problem.
  21. Did them the same but the did use the xanthum gum 1 tsp and it makes the world of difference in holding them together.
  22. No problem here on a Mac with Verizon FIOS for internet.
  23. DITTO! Plenty of folks out there, celiac or not who begin graying in their 20"s. It's what keep hairdressers in business. Weight gain and gray hair are a normal part of aging. Decreased metabolism during the aging process is normal. Maybe why I'm seeing more and more over 60's at my gym.
