  1. I'm a teacher aide in kindergarten. It is rough! I'm lucky that I don't need to be in breakfast and my teacher passes out snack. One thing we do that I like is to give each child a baby wipe after snack and they clean the tables. I make sure they get the crumbs off. I wear food gloves to sweep. At lunch I wear food gloves and from the start teach the children...
  2. I would make some other type muffins also and perhaps some cookies. I would buy like you did. I hope the storm won't be so bad for you!
  3. I have fresh basil running out my ears So, I'm making lime/basil chicken again and fresh greenbeans. I may chop some basil and add it to a salad with avocado.
  4. I come to this thread to see what you're cooking!
  5. I was out and about tonight. So I'm having a salad with leftover lemon, thyme, basil chicken, blueberries, red grapes, and strawberries with a natural balsamic dressing. Perhaps some avocado slices too! Kids went to taco bell when I was gone. Tomorrow a chicken, boccoli and cheese casserole. My kids love it when I make this with gluten-free bisquick. That and...
  6. I love jasmine rice, but I also eat potatos when I'm sick.Love the ginger snap idea if you can do that. Do you eat dairy? I know some people cannot eat eggs when sick, but scrambled eggs? I hope you feel better quick!
  7. Could you post your recipes for chicken and rice soup? I was sick on my stomach 2 weeks ago and longed for campbells chicken noodle. I have made it, but it tasted like something was missing. Thanks
  8. I'm cooking extra tonight because I go back to work tomorrow! Turkey meatloaf, greenbeans, sweet potato for the kids and baked lemon basil chicken for lunch. My son is grilling pork chops to have on hand as well.
  9. Hey Marc, We are all different for sure. I sprinkle the Udi buns with a little water, wrap in foil and warm in the oven. I didn't like them at first until I did this. I can't eat them often because of the corn.I do react to gluten and get really sick. My doctor told me that my Celiac was awake for many years due to all my damage. I didn't know I had it...
  10. Your post always make me hungry!! I'm making chicken alfredo tonight with salad. Fondue sounds so yummy!!
  11. All great responses for you! I'm a southern girl and gluten-free Bisquick is my friend! I don't fry things much, but have used rice flour to fry pork chops and make gravy that my kids loved. Experiment with the gluten-free bisquick (you can find recipes online) and Betty Crocker mixes, they are good for starters. I make fresh strawberry or blueberry muffins...
  12. I'm going to make some chicken salad with leftover chicken. Using my favorite mayo with lemon Juice. Pickles and olives on the side. Perhaps put it in an Udis hotdog roll.
  13. I'm a teachers assistant. I've had so much happen this summer! I also got moved to a new school and I'm having some problems with anxiety. My eating has been way off because of this. Most people I know start to get back on a schedule, but I usually jump back in!
  14. I'm going to say what you may not want to hear. Bring your own food. It is sad at first, but to be well and pain free it is best! There may be a resturant or you may be able to trust. I had a chic-fil-a today have a manager put on gloves and make me a brand new salad. That was a first! It gets better to accept being gluten free as you feel better! For me...
  15. Since being on summer break from school/my job breakfast has been lunch. Soon I'll have to go back to being normal!! Oh my! 5 a.m. here I come!
  16. My son is grilling steak and I'm making red, white and purple small potatoes. I'm probaab ly the only one that will eat the herb salad.
  17. I can sneak in corn starch, but not a lot of it. If I eat it in more than one thing at the same time, I react. Say the hotdog/tater tots of last night. My sides are all cramped up and I'm bloated today. I cannot eat whole corn, popcorn or chips without reacting.
  18. Taco night for the kids and leftover chicken with avocados for me. I'm too tired to be creative tonight.
  19. I've cooked cabbage this way before using both green and red cabbage. I've added onions and carrots to it before. This sounds like a recipe you can play around with.
  20. Thanks everyone. I plan to make some of those suggestions. There was a fifth date He is wanting me to meet his son and taking us to Outback. I've not been there since going gluten-free because I'm pretty sensitive. How should I order to be the safest? I'm sure he will order gluten-free also. I have a week to figure it out.
  21. Thanks everyone, it was an amazing night! I had roasted whole chicken with herbs, lemons, limes with butter and olive oil rubbed. I also had multi colored potatos and fresh green beans! He doesn't get home cooking much and he loved it. I had a great time. I'm so happy to have someone that cares enough to be gluten-free with me at my home and resturants.
  22. I plan to bake it all under the skin with butter under there too. I'll probably slice the chicken and use knive and fork.
  23. Fresh strawberry cobbler if I have time : )
