  3. I can relate! I cook gluten-free, however my children do have snacks or frozen meals that contain gluten. Every once in awhile I will let my daughter get waffles. I need to convert her to gluten-free ones! They eat gluten-free pasta now. I hate when I get CC at home. They also do wraps and have some breads around at times. I've tried to make part of the kitchen...
  4. I'm going to be 45 and had a colonoscopy when trying to figure out what was wrong with me. To me, the worst thing was not eating solids the day before, even the prep wasn't bad to me. I got there and they gave me the "happy juice" next thing I know I'm waking up. You'll wake up with some gas. The nurse told me it was okay to pass it...and I suggest you do...
  5. I eat Kraft and Cabot in block form. I like Cabots 50% white cheaddar. Where I'm from I haven't seen Kraft block cheese with gluten-free on the label, however, Cabot does. I still trust Kraft to label gluten ind.

Coffee, water Salad with 3 boiled egg whites, veggies, strawberries and grapes water Grilled chicken tenders glazed with a natural Balsamic vinaigrette(finally found a bottle dressing with no corn) grilled veggies on top of quinoa. 1oz low fat...
  7. I brought my own food and felt alright yesterday. There were crumbs everywhere however. I was going to eat the ham, but my sis had the rolls beside them. There were gluten-free food there, but not knowing how it was prepared...I just ate my own stuff. I felt iffy today, not sure why. I found Easter dinner easier to go without. I think with Thanksgiving and...
  8. NateJ how long have you been gluten-free? I hate to read how some of you do not have understanding families. Mine understands and do not pressure me to eat, however they do not get the CC issues at all! At Thanksgiving my sister had the stuffing beside the turkey. I talked with her and brought my own food for Christmas. I was planning on eating the ham yesterday...
  9. Depending on how much the CC was.... It can start between a few hours and up to 12 hours. I get a headache, terrible brain fog, then terrible pain in my sides and cramping. I'm usually on the couch the first day. If working,it's really difficult to get through the day. The second day the brain fog is better, but my side pain last 3-4 days.
  10. Thank you all for your ideas! I did not make it for Easter. I did make the quinoa mushroom pilaf. It was something new to my family! It had mixed reviews, my younger sister loved it! My older sister who I thought was getting the gluten-free CC issues had the gluten-free ham beside the rolls. I had not been there to see how she placed things, so I didn't eat...
  11. dislike waking up with a headache wondering if its just a headache or I got CC! I should know in a few hours ....

  12. I haven't responded lately because I got CC a few days ago and was sick for three days. My meals get screwy when that happens. 16. Easter..another holiday and I feel better being gluten-free with this one...I WILL make me something great to take with me and be less sad I cannot eat what others bring : )

  17. I'm bringing a few dishes to my sisters' house for Easter. My daughter who is not gluten-free wants a mac and cheese cass. I've been looking at a few and thought I'd ask the wonderful cooks here...what gluten-free mac and cheese do you make that the gluten eaters love???? My kids are used to the gluten-free pastas( I cook only gluten-free), but the rest of...
  18. I really like these ideas for you! First, I don't judge other pecause I don't think others should judge me. I think it's normal that you are angry! Be angry, I know I was! I was angry and sad for awhile. I think I've let most of that go now. Now, I feel socially left out at times, but I'm working on it. I only bloat up with gas when I eat corn,CC...
  19. I go to my sisters house for my kids. My family does not feel they can cook safely for me, so whatever I bring...I eat. No sure what I want..perhaps some chicken. My daughter wants me to make gluten-free mac and cheese. I made greenbean cass. for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not really want that right now.....maybe I'll get an idea to make something...
  20. I would not eat from a buffet because when I am glutened, I am in so much pain I cannot function right. I'm too scared of them and the risk of CC. If there is gluten on the buffet there is the risk. How do you feel after eating it? Are you sensitive to CC?
  21. I have found a list where all thier other sausages are gluten-free, however, I cannot find the turkey on it. I'm going to email them, but thought someone here may know. I'm not eating it, but fixing it for my children. I want to know if it is safe for my gluten-free grill. I thought so when I purchased them. I use their italian sausage for meatballs when...
