  1. That's pound cake
  2. I've never made the Chebe bread, but have read a few post from you all on it. My grade level is doing lunch together tomorrow. I want to bring a gluten-free bread for everyone to try with the salads they are planning (I'm bringing my own because of CC issues). I won't feel so left out this time around. Last time they made taco soup(not gluten-free) and 8...
  3. Thanks, I'm not sure if it was a full panel or not. I'll have to ask about it.
  4. I finally was able to have my thyroid checked! My level came back at 1.6. It said I was in "normal" range, but on the low end. My hair continues to break off. I'm using hair products for damaged hair that to my best knowledge are gluten-free. I'm in my 9th month gluten-free and wonder if it is still vitamin loss. I take vitamins plus something for hair, skin...
  5. We did that with chop chicken, cheese, black olives, fresh chives, avocado...yum! My kids had salsa and sour cream/ ranch. They are really good warm from the oven!
  6. I found the most amazing tortilla chips! They remind me of Chilis thin chips. They are XOCHiTL (so cheel) Totopos de Maiz (corn chips) mexican style. They are all natural, no presvatives, no GMO, no cholestral,no trans fat, no gluten. I found these in my local grocery store in the international foods section. They come in a brown paper bag and are clearly...
  7. I really miss beer as well! Especially on a hot day! I love so many different types! I now know it made me have really bad brain fog and I could never seem to wake up when I drank it the night before. I've tried the gluten-free beers, what I feel is more like the ambers I used to drink is Greens. Redbridge is ok and I've tried some of the ciders. If you...
  8. I use a lot of fresh herbs with my veggies and meats. My favorites are, basil, dill, chives and thyme. I love the fresh taste! Mint with some fruits as well.
  9. To the poster who mentioned this!!! Thank you! Soy free...corn free..A little iffy for nightshade free..So far I'm okay with it.....I love it! It's a little high in fat but has an amazing taste! My local organic market ordered it for me..cheaper than online!! Yea! Yes, it does have a taste of lemon, yet so creamy........
  10. I use gluten free Progresso Creamy Mushroom soup and it taste wonderful! I usually heat it and add corn starch to it to thicken it before adding it to my dish! I made an awesome gluten-free greenbean casserole Thanksgiving using this soup and Funyun onion rings! My gluten eating extended family loved it! I'm corn free right now, but even alone, it's a good...
  11. I don't vomit, but I do get the intense waves of pain. It feels as you discribed " a vice has got my intestines and is squeezing" depending on how much I was CC or glutened, it last for two-three days for me. Yes, I can end up in a fetal position crying too! I also have brain fog and a headache. I don't get D until it's almost over.
  12. Has anyone made sausage balls with this? My first attempt was not so good. I'm wanting to make them for the Superbowl tomorrow. Thanks! I thought of following the online recipe and omit the rosemary( I dislike)etc.
  13. How are you..been thinking about you!
  14. I'm 5'4' and happy with that! I think we are all different.....
  15. It's been a rough week for me and just wondering if anyone feels like their pain or problems are worse during times of stress.I haven't changed my eating this week, but have had more pain. I know I've been stressed and put through it....What has been your experience?
  16. I cannot do spinach either. When I added it to my diet and had a major reaction, I started looking at the low oxalate diet. Might be worth a look into.
  17. The best way I've heard it explained here is.... If you had a salad with "poop.. a turd" on it and they just removed it..would you still want to eat it? NO! High five to the poster who said tht!
  18. Try corn free for a few days and see if that helps. I bloat some now, but when I eat corn products it's awful. I was told you START to heal 6 months into a year in gluten-free. It takes time. CC is a big issue if you still have gluten eaters in your home.
  19. How do you make your tuna salad if you cannot have dairy, soy or eggs? I can have eggs, so that's my go to breakfast. I eat whole food/low oxalate, which I feel very limited on it. I can eat some fruit..red and green grapes, red pears, apples, mangos, fresh cherries. I limit the amount. I have fruit and or a veggie for lunch. Veggies are cabbage, cauliflower...
  20. I went grain free and that really helped me. Corn makes me hurt almost as much as being glutened without the headache. I noticed brown rice bothered me first, then gluten-free breads etc.
  21. I do all I can to make sure my meds are gluten free. I have a great pharmacy that checks for me as well. However, I've had three different types to cause me trouble and they are all generic ones. Brand name seems to be fine. I get so bloated and have side pain. Other gastro problems. Any ideas? I just got over being glutened and tonight have so much pain...
  22. I posted awhile back that my hair is breaking off and I've added vitamins etc. It's getting somewhat better, however, it looks like I fried my hair with the blow dyer some. Anyone know of a good conditioner for damaged hair that is Gluten-free Casein-free? Even if it is just gluten-free would be a big help!
  23. I feel like crap tonight, glutened feeling...side cramps, terrible bloat, foggy. At work I have lunchroom duty, so I'm in a big gluten room for 30 minutes. I punch in lunch numbers for my kindergarteners, and try not to touch trays. I wasn't eating in there until we came back from Christmas break. I had the worse week of pain coming back to work. I can feel...
  24. Good thoughts your way for yo and baby!
  25. Thank you, I may just go and watch one day and see how they handle things. I'm really picky about eating out.
