  1. How do you make your avocado soup? I can't seem to get enough of them lately and this sounds yum! I cannot seem to find any rice paper for spring rolls in my area : (
  2. Sorry I cannot help you with an actual place, but offer suggestions. I would do a search of restrurants etc. I went to Ocean Isle SC last summer and could not find any gluten-free bread anywhere unless I wanted to drive into Wilmington NC. This year I plan to pack a cooler with a few items and bring other food items. If you would, let us know how your vacation...
  3. I think we all can understand hurt feelings! My co workers still do not understand why I will not eat their potato salad and "gluten-free" food they bring. I've explained CC to them, but they act like I'm going overboard with it. You have to think about CC from everywhere. I felt sad etc at family dinners until I accepted if I want to stay well,it has to...
  4. I went whole foods and it helped me a lot! It really helped me figure out foods that I cannot eat. Corn is one of my biggest problem foods. I ate very basic with only adding or taking away one food at a time. The longer you're gluten-free, you'll understand your body more. Well, that was so for me. I can now tell if I get CC or a food that I cannot digest...
  5. I have found the kettle brand chips in two baked varieties. I love the Sea salt ones. Eating the baked kind helps me have a snack without all the fat of regular chips. I have eaten these several times and I've been fine. I sensitive too. Let me know if you try them and how you like them. They are great with gluten-free dips or my favorite, avocado smashed...
  6. It does get easier to accept : ) with time.......

  7. Celiac you suck! Restaurants no longer good.. I want Paneras! Rolled in fetal ball pain in tummy can't handle Celiac save me!
  8. Here goes... No more potty run.... No need to dash that way..Yay Gluten free for me! Give me more time, I'll come up with better. Love the Dr Suess!!
  9. In NC, I have found them at Bi-Los, Lowes Foods and Walmart. They are 2.98 @ walmart.
  10. This reminds me of my childhood, my Mother would make this a lot!
  11. Fresh greenbeans with small red potatos, roasted lemon /thyme chicken with sliced avocado! Then for a snack left over avocado mashed with lemon and lime juice and those baked kettle chips I cannot get away from!
  12. Since my kids left for camp today, I'm lazy with my cooking. I roasted some chicken breasts with basil, lemon and lime. Washed a lot of fruit......made some salad. Do you make anything that is grain free, soy free and corn free that is good?! I'm running out of ideas....
  13. I have a disc shaped sore on the back on my leg near my knee and I've been wondering if this is DH starting. It doesn't itch though. It reminds me somewhat of ring worm, but it's not raised. I'm not sure what to do at this point with it..Watch it?
  14. I'm trying to find a pretty pink, gloss or lipstick that is of course gluten-free and now say free. It appears that Afterglow is both? Even though I'm a year gluten-free. I'm still nervous about spending money only to get the product and I read wrong on the website. Also, has anyone ever tried the Juice Berry ( I think that's the name) line? They are gluten...
  15. Some days all I feel like I do is work then cook, wash dishes, cook some more, wash more dishes. Some days I hate cooking, I'm so tired of it. Now that I am on summer break, perhaps it will get better. I miss the quick meals I could grab on the go, however, I am more aware of how much gluten people eat when they don't realize it!
  16. 2 boiled egg whites..I'm so boring! I'm out for summer break now, so I hope to eat better!
  17. I just got these and was saving them as a treat because I try to be grain free as much as possible. Now kinda afraid to try them. I also got a loaf of the Millet Chia and was saving it.
  18. Stir fry chicken with spring onions and basil. Topped with avocado mashed with lemon and lime juice. Eaten with baked kettle potato chips....oh yeah, white wine too! Later a bowl of berries.
  19. I just found them at a BI-LO in NC! I was very surprised to find them. I wasn't even looking for them! We still dont have snyders gluten-free pretzels! They taste like I remember, but it's been awhile.
  20. I cannot remember are you DX Celiac? I can tell you from my experience, I did not feel better until about month 8th gluten-free. I had to learn how I was CC myself and what my body could handle. I got food allergy tested, that helped a lot as well. I gave up gluten-free replacement foods, then corn. I went whole foods and that helped. I do not touch gluten...
  21. Before I went corn free, I would buy XochitL corn chips. They are truly amazing in taste! They are very thin and salty. Best when warmed in the oven and they are labled gluten-free. Close to what I remember Chili's chips to be. I know a lot of us use Fritos etc, but these taste so good! My son, who loves mexican, said these are better than any resturant ones...
  22. Just two is difficult! 1. Eat whole foods and avoid a lot of gluten-free replacement foods in the beginning. Your body will thank you for it. 2. Do not trust a health food or grocery clerk for gluten-free status. Unless it states so on the item and then still read the lable. ALWAYS check it out for yourself! I made this mistake twice! If it...
  23. I loss muscle due to celiac. I didnt know it at the time, but my body paid a high price. I lost a lot of muscle and weight due to my celiac. I won't go TMI, but it was bad! Now being a year gluten-free, I'm regaining some of it back! If you haven't, perhaps look at what you are eating, add exercise, and vitamins. Also check with your DR. Some blood work for...
  24. Some hard low fat cheddar and fruit to start. Then some sweet and sour chicken stir fry. I'm getting bored with my food lately, time to hit the recipes to find something different. Trying to get thoughts of kettle potato chips out of my head!
