  1. So, I made homemade pimento cheese. I had that with celery, baked chicken and my usual gluten-free soy free crackers. I started cramping up/I've been bloated since Christmas eve. After I had eaten this evening I started the bloat really bad with twisty gut pain, with pain up my back. So I know I'm reacting to something. Then my fingers begain to tingle and...
  2. Leftover bacon/cheese quiche.
  3. Sounds great! Merry Christmas! This is my second one gluten-free and much better food wise this year. I made a spicy thia rice noodle salad and marinated cheese to take to my family last night. Of course they had a ton of gluten filled snacks all around, but loved my stuff too. Today I made ham, potato salad with dill, greenbean casserole and quiche. It...
  4. Good advice given already. I would most certainly request the full panel of blood testing. Some doctors hesitate to order this panel or even think of it. My sisters' gastro only gave in and ordered it for her because I am celiac. He told her it was doubtfull she had it too. Crazy! I was told after my colonoscopy that I had IBS. I went on the diet...
  5. Thanks! I'm going to give it a try.
  6. Thanks for sharing, I never thought to do that. What part flour mixture to beer did you use?
  7. Thanks, I added the website to my favorites. I already see one I'm making next week.
  8. I'm looking for some yummy mexican reciepes beyond nachos and tacos. Anyone have some they can suggest? I cannot have tomato, so that limits me some. Thanks!
  9. I'm curious, the Jason Deli near me states that they have gluten free items for gluten-free sensitive people and recommends that they are not safe for people with Celiac on their menu. I know this is probably a cover my .......but does not make me feel safe in eating there. I know others make a similiar statement, but Jason's Deli actually put Celiac on there...
  10. This is what I have as well. It's so painful, I'm in a fetal position for hours. I don't run to the bathroom, just have the twisting terrible pain!!

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

I've eaten at a local RR once. I had the Avo-cobb-o salad without tomato(allergic) and without blue cheese( I don't like it) Of course no bread. I had it with honey mustard dressing. They had a gluten-free allergen menu plus a book of what other gluten-free people have ordered filled out. I did not get sick, but my tummy grumbled some. Perhaps some soy in...
  12. Welcome! You will learn alot from all the wonderful people here, I did as a newbie! I still do everyday and I love the reciepes and helpful advice. I was DX celiac a month after my 44th birthday. Good luck on your quest for a girl!
  13. So glad you had a great experience! I did as well with pfChangs last month. It's wonderful to feel "normal".
  14. I am soy free also and have found two lines of dressings that I do okay with. Olde Cape Cod "All Natural" I like the Balsamic. I also do well with Marzetti line of "Simply Dressed" Salad dressings. They are all natural as well. I use the ranch and champagne varieties. I use the Champagne in pasta salads. I like the above suggestions with other toppings...
  15. I made a chicken stir fry for my lunch tomorrow with thia rice noodles. Some of that leftover chicken perhaps tonight. I'm really in a mexican mood, so I think I'll make refried beans, and cheese dip too!
  16. I've eaten at pf Changs and been fine. However, I did get sick once, I really think it was the server. I go to a different one now and I am fine. I do have to avoid the dishes that have soy in them. I got eggdrop soup and shrimp with lobster sauce. I had no reaction when I ate there last month and didn't get sick. I do have my entire table order gluten...
  17. Leftover chicken and two boiled eggs minus one yoke.

  20. Pork loin with onion, garlic, thyme, and oregano. Mash potatos, baby green peas. A side of sauteed onions and zucchini.
  21. Great idea Sylvia!!!
  22. I understand about wasting food, but I would toss them if there was any chance they were beside any gluten containing desert. That's just me, because I'm very sensitive to CC. If you watch gluten eating people, they are somewhat messy with how they get things out of containers and such. I'm not saying they are slobs in anyway, don't get me wrong. They...
  23. Does anyone know if the vaginal creme, metronidazole by Prasco is gluten free? My pharmacy said they were "resonable" sure the ingrediants are gluten-free, but after using it once, my sides are in pain and cramping. So, not sure if it was my food or this. I had rice, greenbeans and chicken. I've tried to google it and look on gfdrugs.com. I have't found...
  24. I have a peanut allergy and it is hard to live without! The real kicker for me was finding out I'm allergic to tomatos! I can find gluten-free bread as a relacement, but not a summer tomato. I loved hot toast with peanut butter.
  25. I don't like using the microwaves at work. Sometimes I break down and use it, but today it was a cold lunch.Today I put in one long container small dark green leaf salad with blueberries and blackberries, sliced baked chicken and rice. I don't mind eating cold rice. All with a natural balsamic dressing.
