  1. What I do know about IgG levels is that they tend to rise and fall slowly, as opposed to IgAs which rise and fall quickly. So if you were on a gluten-free diet, typically the IgG levels could still be above normal while the IgA had returned to normal. I personally like having a biopsed/blood tested diagnosis because it allows me to track my progress via...
  2. Unfortunately it really depends person to person. Some here felt great within a few weeks, others such as myself are a year or more gluten-free and still holding out for more improvement (although I have noticed some for sure). I think most people notice improvement in some area physically within the first few months though. You'll get there !
  3. Is this what you guys are talking about--go here and look at 1st definition: Open Original Shared Link I get those from time to time when I am rundown. I think its another medical mystery like the hiccups

  6. Yup... I used to work out 5x a week, but after going gluten-free actually, my workouts were pretty sporadic...just whenver I had the energy. I am one year gluten-free now, and the past 2 months I have started to get the energy back and kickin on the workouts again. Some have quicker progress than me, others similar...but you should notice some improvement...

  10. Just had to share in case someone else wanted to try this flour... I made some peanut butter cookies last night and they came out perfect! I used my good ol' Better Homes and Gardens Baking cookbook recipe and used Authentic Food's Multi-flour Blend, which you sub with a 1:1 ratio for flour in "old" recipes. If anyone wants to try, the link is below. ...

    ARCHIVED Cure For Celiac Disease!?

No cure, and I'd be hard-pressed to trust anyone who said they had one...
  15. So you have not been gluten-free at all? When did the DH and or other syptoms begin? IgGs typically take longer to rise in response to gluten and take longer to return to normal on a gluten-free diet, whereas IgA's go up and come down quick. Hence my question on your diet.
  16. I have always been a lunch packer too. Can't stand to run around or go out on my lunch break, except every once in a while. I like to sit, chill with a book and enjoy the whole hour One tip for speeding things up a bit for me... I have a salad spinner, Oxo brand, love it! I fill the thing with salad and veggies at the beginning of the week and it stays...
  17. You have many symptoms in line with Celiac, and if the diet gives you positive results, I would stick with it. Cappuccino--This may not have anything to do with Celiac or gluten. I can not tolerate caffeine-gives me bad abdominal pain. It could also be related to milk--which is another very common food allergy/intolerance. Have you noticed any issues...
  18. yoplait is gluten-free. when i ate dairy i stuck with their yogurt, as many of the other companies gave me shady answers just stay away from the toppings of course if they are included....

  20. Sounds like me too! I have to wear gloves Don't mind the dirt, just the bugs, I get shivers from them all! I keep hoping I'll outgrow it...but doesn't seem like it ! If I'm picking and there is a big ol' bug on the veggie or fruit, I have to stop myself from dropping and run! My dh laughs at me...
  21. Hmm, not sure about mainstream, but I take Freeda Vitamins: Open Original Shared Link They are all 100% gluten, lactose free and free of several other things as well. 24. Thought i'd refresh this old thread. Anyone else with Sjogren's or Julie-feeling any better? My NP thinks I should be tested...but I think I have very little symptoms associated with Sjogren's... I also had an ANA that was negative but I guess that doesn't necessarily rule it out completely. Just curious to hear from others....
