  1. Oh, Yvonne...so sorry to hear how you've been doing. You are in a hard location too for resources... I wish I had more to offer, but here are a few thoughts... Can you give us the ingredients on the sugar-free/gluten-free sweets you ate? I can not tolerate any artificial sweetners...give me stomach upset and gas. How do you know you are intolerant to...
  2. What do you like better about them? Just curious... Thanks for sharing !

  5. I was thinking about branching out into the world of brandy. Anyone out there partake and found a brand they like or can pass on some info?
  6. That statement at face value makes no sense...of course Celiac would lead to a leaky gut in number of those who go undiagnosed for a period of time. Read the helpful description below on leaky gut... It also mentions some 'signs' of leaky gut. ie. For me, a sign could be the results of my tests, as I mentioned previously. It is unlikely I am naturally...
  7. Hmmm, rice krispie treats... i would think they would not freeze well... marshmallows have such a tendency to get rock hard when dried out. if you have a food saver you could keep them for several weeks... or just cut the recipe in 1/2 for a small batch...
  8. I also rec taking some acidophilus while on the antib, and for a little while following. Great news! This is off the Bayer website: Open Original Shared Link Does Cipro contain gluten or lactose? Cipro Tablets and Cipro Oral Suspension do not contain gluten or lactose.
  9. I figured out I had a slew of other food intolerances. It's easier to see other things when the gluten gets cleared out of the way. For me, I had had the other intolerances for a while, but couldn't notice them while still consuming gluten. I did a food journal and also had a food intolerance test done. At this time I have given up casein and eat only...
  10. you rock girl!! congrats
  11. If you are positive for DH, you need to go gluten-free definitely. Your doctor is just ill-informed, as many, that Celiac can occur in people who are not under weight. Sorry you had to go through that--but you have the right idea to pursue the gluten-free diet.
  12. in the past i've had no problems. which ones are you eating?
  13. mucous is always in the gut to an extent, but more can be a sign of irritation.
  14. I have not seen Bragg's in packets. I do have a full size bottle for home and a smaller bottle for travel. It is a little bottle with a pump. Go here to see my smaller one, you can order online--its the 6 oz bottle: Open Original Shared Link PS--You can get Annie's salad dressing in packets at the gluten-free pantry online.
  15. Yeah, I don't want my Judy to get burned either I will try this recipe out on my husband...He loves his donuts...
  16. Are you sure it was the salsa? What was your reaction? I would think salsa would be one of the least likely to be contaminated... Just curious....
  17. Well, come up and make a trip Lynne!!!
  18. I do several things when I go on vaca: -Find chain restaurants with gluten-free menus (like pf changs etc) and local wild oats or health food stores -Contact a local support group for area tips etc if there are local rest. with gluten-free menus or are accomodating -Pack food! I take lots of snacks and I take things I can supplement a meal out for me...
  19. If you want to order testing and are willing to pay some, great plains labs did my casein/intol testing. My insurance, anthem, paid for part of it also.
  20. I use sweet rice flour. Oh, I also have made gluten-free flour tortillas and frozen them as well. I got a tortilla press. However, now that I am cf, and no cheese--that means I'm less interested in tacos in the like!
  21. I had it when I was a baby.

  24. I also use A1 and Lea and Perrin's.
  25. It's OTC, but like I said, I think sometimes they keep it behind the counter or you may have to request it--must not get a lot of users I guess. It is out in an isle in my pharmacy store.
