I am sorry this is happening for you ,,many of us have had this happen or will have it happen at some point.It is not right nor is it fair but unfortunately until doctors are better educated about celiacs and gluten intolerance,leaky gut ect....it will continue to happen. I get very angry and extremely sad when I think of the things / time...

  6. When I still cooked :lol: I would use potato flour to make gravy,, I have had good luck with white rice flour in most everything.   9. I am glad that you have the support of your family and the medical community. And your dietitian is right, going gluten free is really not that bad a new way of thinking/cooking for sure but seriously not that bad. Much health

For me , celiacs was the last step in a very,very long road of tests, Cat scans, MRI's,spinal tap for MS, digonosed with IBS at 23 but meds did not help,heart cath(because of heart palpitations) multiple colonscopys , osteoporosis, thyiod issues,ect.........a very long road indeed,, about 40 years of test,misdiagnosis,medications , and being made to feel...
  11. I love my crock pot and I use it every weekend to make the tenderest dinners out of inexpensive meats. Mine is showing a little wear I think I need to buy my self a couple new ones ( one large and one small)

  13. Welcome to the forum a great group of people here and a vast amount of knowledge and support. Are you sure your not getting gluten in your food from somewhere?? cross contamination or maybe hidden in your foods?? After going gluten free it took me awhile to find all the hidden gluten in my foods.

  15. Thanks for the welcome Roda I am actually in Warren county ,,being from this area, I know you understand my need for a doctor that has even a bit of knowledge about celiacs. I am going to try to get a referral to either Pittsburgh or Erie.

  23. as to your question " why would DH show up now that you are gluten free" sorry I dont have an answer for you,, All i know is mine is GREATLY effected by how much iodine I consume.   25. Going gluten free now is soooooo much more "convenient " than developing Leaky gut ,gluten ataxia or cancer ect..... Going gluten free was the EASIEST part of this journey for me,,,,it is the complications and other intolerances that I am have trouble with,, not having a correct diagnosis/treatment (gluten free diet) about 40 years will do that to ya
