  7. Happened to me too!! I am the spouse and a mother of a coeliac (although I am gluten-free, 2 of our sons aren't) I was doing 2 lots of toast ( 2 toasters, 2 different breads, 2 different tubs of butter and 2 knives!!)   12. I don't know specifically about cornflakes in Canada but in the UK alot of mainstream cornflakes (including Kellogs) have Barley malt in them - just a thought

  16. Although there has been two main genes identified to celiac disease I think it's fair to say there may be more genes (or combinations) that as yet have not been discovered. (Just my opinion though)
  17. You definitely need an Endoscopy for biopsies for a diagnosis of celiac disease. A colonoscopy doesn't reach far enough up to reach the part of the bowel affected by celiac disease.

  20. Oh good!! Once you receive the Gluten-Free food & drink directory it definitely helps enormously with those first few shopping trips. I know after my hubby was diagnosed we absolutely relied on that little book (or bible as we refer to it!) Also Open Original Shared Link is a UK based forum which can be very helpful with particular brand queries...
