    ARCHIVED Boils?

Hi all, My son (who is 13 yrs old) is waiting to see a G.I as he has many of the symptoms of celiac disease (his Dad has it)and has had a weak positive EMA test.(He is still on gluten) Several times he has had to go on antibiotics because he keeps getting huge boils on various parts of his body!! Today,he's woken up with another one (on his...
  13. Taz,I'm afraid Shredded Wheat is a definant no-no (shame, because my hubby loved them!) If something has a Codex level of gluten it means there are less than 200 parts per million. This really is a minute amount of gluten, but nonetheless some coeliacs find that it gives them diarrhoea and stomach pains/bloating. Alot of G.F breads in the U.K contain...
  14. Oh great news!,I always think kids recover much quicker at home amongst familiar things. Alot less stressful for Mum and Dad too!! My husband asks everday ''How's baby Megan today!''
  15. Not a good start to the day Hubby's been up most of the night having been 'glutened' by an ice lolly of all things He always says if he's going to be glutened he'd rather eat pizza. He's still suffering with stomach/back ache today. 2 out of 3 kids have gone down with a bug (high temp, headaches, vomiting) Oh joy!Another heinious task clearing...

  17. Oh yeah, hear you on the sewing and the ironing !! It's got to be in my all time top ten of most hated jobs. Funny that, because my Mum used to make all our clothes, darn socks ( WHAT!! Throw them away Mother!) and made ironing an art form. She even irons my Dad's socks and underpants! I,apparently didn't inhereit them skills unfortunately. I...
  18. I'm loving this education in Southern Slang,my particular favourite so far- I think the British public have warmed (slightly) to Charles and Camilla. I think it's because he really does have his sons best interest at heart, and has shown a more caring ,less stuffy side to himself. Camilla?...
  19. I loved that show
  20. That would explain why my 'blue' one turned 'pink' in my soil!!! Thanks for the tip!
  21. LOL Premature post-Surely you're allowed some vices?? Hope the 'girls' are ok .I bet you're looking forward to the golden poops.
  22. LOL! This happened to me! I started of not eating any gluten in the house.I was trying to be supportive to my hubby and was doing all I could to keep him on track. I thought 'Well I can eat gluten when I'm out' But strange things started to happen.Once at a friends house I had some a slice of pizza-soon after I felt sweaty, nauseous and horrible...
  23. Taz is right,I should of mentioned that some coeliacs cannot tolerate codex. Also,CUK advise that you eat no more than 6 slices of Codex bread a day -(how that translates into bags of wotsits I don't know!)-so there is a limit to how much codex you can eat in one day. It's all very confusing I know! My husband (who is a coeliac) always says...
