  1. this guy or this guy? either way...I am SURE it's him (it ain't me!) lol
  2. You know....it's funny K, even though we don't have two teenage boys, but we also have partial bags of Ore ida's in the freezer. I guess my "one big boy" counts as a teenager? LOL
  3. lmao...was thinking that same thing myself... the "frisk" part should be enjoyable anyway. we may need "notes" from our doctors saying "this person is carrying G F flours" or maybe a letter from our lawyers....or a US senator...or emigration officials....or....
  4. Got so excited thinking about traveling (I have such wanderlust! ) I forgot to say what's for dinner tonight.... Vietnamese chicken salad rolls with sweet Thai chili sauce.<< I could put that stuff on dirt and eat it probably. btw, I can't believe football season has begun.....it's 88 and sunny and it still feels like summer.
  5. I always love your email updates, so I look forward to new stories. I have to renew my passport and save up some cash. Building a house has wiped me out. lol Next year is looking like a distinct possibility. I know you'd take good care of any of us if we actually showed up.... and you'll love us even more if we bring supplies.
  6. Take me! take me! I have a steamer trunk. I don't need clothes. I'll wear yours.
  7. That's now how celiac is DXed, hon. Blood work for antibodies, then an endoscopy (the other end) with biopsy. And again, you need to be consuming gluten for the tests to be valid Read about testing here: Open Original Shared Link
  8. Hi zebra We already "met" and talked about consomme, I believe? I agree with Colleen. Get tested before you keep going forward. I know you have a number of other AI diseases that may very well be associated with celiac or gluten intolerance, so I suggest strongly that you get tested for celiac before you continue any further on the gluten-free diet...
  9. Revlon colorstay lipstick is G F. (My mom wears it and I checked it out for her. ) You can call the company if you want verification. I gave in and bought a tube of the Red Apple when I was at a G F Living conference. She "gave" it to me for $20. I was surprised I gave in to that kind of highway robbery, but it is pretty nice lip gloss. It will...
  10. If we weren't 1300 miles away, I'd be on your doorstep with my martini glass...right about......now..holy crappers this sounds yummers....(yeah, I can do some math and I know it's 4:17 in Cali)
  11. You know I can't do soy sauce or soy flour, but that small amount of soy lecithin does not bother me and I thought the Gratify brand was very good. Snyders's too. (J prefers those) Dinner tonight is looking like our old pal Chebe Pizza .....and a movie. Storms are rolling in....
  12. not any that actually taste like a pretzel.
  13. I saw this news bulletin yesterday morning--so glad you posted it, A! It's crazy because I had read an article in one of J's Chemistry publications about research being done to "switch off" whatever triggers AI diseases a few months ago, but never saw anything about it again. This is incredible news! So many people in my life being diagnosed with...
  14. I use the Jif To go cups all the time. No problem whatsoever. Enjoy!
  15. I don't know which "old timers" you are referring to, hon, but I will answer for myself. I have never said any of those things to you. I am in the camp that believes we should not make this G F life harder than it has to be and I would never suggest "you are stupid". I know some people get all crazy reading labels, calling companies, but I just read...
  16. My reply to you was based on you saying you could only find one G F salami. This post is a lot more illuminating than your initial one where it sounded as if you only had that to eat--along with a few crackers and cheese.
  17. I am stumped by this because I just traveled over 1300 miles in 2 weeks and I found food at every grocery store even in a tiny town in Southern Georgia.. I also made sure I got hotel rooms with a fridge and a micro. It's just better for us if those things are available. Or at least find one with a micro in the lobby. You have to assemble a to-go kit with...
  18. That is a nice pan and honestly, the sides of my lasagne pan are plenty deep....it's just me, you know, Lucy and the inevitable almost always occurs. ah, what can I say,,,except thank heavens for the creator of the self-cleaning oven? . lol Well, you've all got wine and I've got vodka, so, cheers!
  19. come over here, there's plenty and you can have some of the lasagne I made for dinner tonight too. (not in the KFG) the old school way where it will likely spill and ruin my oven. (yes, yes, i put something under it...)
  20. Super Sandie goes shopping with Ski for sherry by the seashore....say that a few times, sookie.
  21. have a good time!!! bye bye
  22. she says you can sub white wine. My inner Julia has never believed that is true....Long before I made this crockpot recipe, I always used sherry in my french onion soup. ....definitely sherry.
  23. You're welcome...happy cooking! ( I said that in my best Jacques Pepin voice)
