  3. Adalaide, you are delightfully honest. How are those arepas?
  4. Yes! and on the opposite side of the box is one of my favorite all-time quotes : "When the gods want to punish us, they answer our prayers."--Oscar Wilde and I always add: I prayed for patience. I got Celiac.
  5. Congrats!!! and oooh, LOBSTAH!!! Yup, Bostonian born.
  6. Sora's going to order us all moo-moos.
  7. Take it slow at first--with the eating, I mean. None of us ate like this right after DX. I could hardly choke down rice and boiled chicken. As for substitutions, tell us what you need and we can help. Do you mean things like bread crumbs in meatloaf or meatballs? Subs for fried chicken? Eggs? dairy? that sort of thing? The "to taste" means...
  8. M, Women who "behave" never have any fun. I like misbehaving. STUFFED PEPPERS tonight Mixed greens salad with goat cheese, toasted pecans, roasted pears and champagne vinaigrette Blueberries and nectarines are in and they are fantastic. I am resisting making them into a galette. LOVE2TRAVEL is whispering "Go on, why don't you...

  10. I saw that recipe on there once. They look like English muffins! A, I have to think she would not recommend something that would "get you" with CC.
  11. I got my masa harina from nuts.com They have a certified gluten-free section. GREAT stuff and I have had zero problems with all of their products. I am a "quick responder", so I can say that honestly. http://nuts.com/gluten-free/

  13. but Adelaide told me I should take them OFF!!! and now, I have ROOM!!!!
  14. I love you. None of us "stretch quite like we used to" You should have seen my attempt at "mock rye bread" today....it stretched (sort of) and it was GOOD! Hubs is in heaven.
  15. crappers, Syl !!---now I want HD ice cream....hold on........honey!!! can you go to the store before it closes????!!!!!!!!

  19. If you were standing right here in my kitchen right now, I do not know who would hug you first, me or my hubs. yes, I can say croquembouche and Dacquoise, but my pants split at the very mention. The problem is, my chocolate ganache and cream cheese/buttercream frosting will continue to make us chubby. HE can work out at the gym. I cannot ....
  20. Now, here's a girl after my own heart!
  21. Thanks for the dieting tips, but we already have our smoothies every morning with berries of all kinds, pineapple, kale, flax seed, and honey and we get lots of fruits in our diets. I eat little in the way of "goodies". I am talking about our weekend sweet that LOVE2TRAVEL knows I bake from scratch for my hubs that we need to cut back on a little.
  22. Same in this house, but even HE said...babe, my pants are getting tight....
