  1. Ideally you should always have something with you (such as trail mix or fruit). The issue with your problem is that once you are off gluten for a while and then reintroduce it, your symptoms could be worse than what you originally had before the dx. Personally, I would do without. It is not worth it to me.
  2. I agree as well. My major symptoms stopped within days. It took a while for the lesser symptoms to go away.
  3. You learn to adapt. I had issues for about... 9 or so years. If it means knowing where all the bathrooms are in a building, so be it.
  4. I think its gone now Stress maybe I think caused it.
  5. If you have issues with gluten, then you should not eat it.
  6. Dog food can contain it. If you want a good and healthy "dog" food, cook up a batch of chicken and rice with veggies. Boil the chicken, shred. Use the broth to cook the rice. Add some frozen veggies (such as peas and carrots, green beans are good too).
  7. ... is causing me to taste stomach acid in my mouth? Does anyone have any idea on how i can get it to stop? I can go brush my teeth and it'll last about an hour or so then its back. I should also add that its making my stomach upset as well.
  8. I would consider going to the ER when that happens.
  9. why not make your own mix? Something like trail mix might help. Nuts, dried fruits, and the like would work well.
  10. It would me too. I never had an issue with them until i was in my teens (around the same time my celiac symptoms started to appear). So, could there be a connection? Who knows? Local raw honey is good for helping with seasonal allergies.
  11. Its possible that it has gotten worse then. What type of cat is it? I agree that speaking with the allergist might help.
  12. Try removing dairy for a while. Some celiacs cannot handle it.
  13. You may never develop them. Some of us don't, others do.
  14. I haven't been around any cats in a long while. But my reactions are itchy watery eyes and a scratchy throat.
  15. I also had my gallbladder removed (working at 5%, causing lots of pain). All but the HIDA scan came back normal.
  16. I made mac and cheese. Its been quite some time since i had it. I adore water melon and strawberries again. So good. Spring onion is probably a scallion.
  17. What about a leaky gut? I've heard of others on here having that issue.
  18. If you have an issue with gluten, you also need to cut out barley and rye (as it was unclear whether or not you had or not).. Yes, it can make you sick after three months.
  19. I agree with it being with drawl. Are you still working out? I think that might also be part of the issue. Your body is healing. It can take a long time for it to return to normal.
  20. Ah, well, its hard. I agree going and getting food that you can eat. Find things that you like that replace that. For example, when i'm around pizza, I often go get myself a large apple with peanut butter or i make my own pasta dish. I certainly miss a lot of foods, but you will find things that replace them. I would also suggest to try and ignore...
  21. have you had your thyroid checked?
  22. Seems to me like you have a double copy of the DQ2 gene. I am not sure what the other one is. However, the main ones seen with Celiac are HLA DQ2 and DQ8.
