  1. Rice dream can cause major problems for some people because they use, I believe, barley in part of their manufacturing process (the enzimes i believe?). Its supposed to be 5 ppm or something of that sort. There is a perservative in chex that some people react to. I personally do fine with the regular rice chex (i've yet to try that kind).
  2. Sounds to me that treatment changed her from a typical celiac (one who has symptoms) to a silent one (where a person has no symptoms). None of the markers, what does that mean? Did she have normal blood levels (IGA TTG, etc) or was it genetic?
  3. Depends on the person dear. Lots of rest and water. Foods that are easy on the stomach will help some too. We've all done something like this before.
  4. Leftovers for me. I may go make something for desert, however...
  5. I've heard that AI's can cause weird changes within the body. So it isn't that far of a stretch to think that celiac is the cause of it. Honestly, at this point, put it out of your head. Stress is not good on the body (especially when one starts thinking of deadly conditions). The doctor seems to think that it may be due to celiac. I would follow the...
  6. Can't say much on the face/neck rash, however the blister inside the mouth. If it is clear and does not hurt, it is probably just a clogged saliva duct. I've gotten them on occasion. The stomach pain on the right side may be due to your gallbladder as it sits right under the rib. I can't function without at the very least 7 hours of sleep. Everyone...
  7. To my understanding, if you have a low total IGA, they move to IgG for the testing.
  8. What is this snow you speak of? 50s and 60s for this upcoming week, then back to the 30s and 40s with rain/snow.
  9. Drink lots of water is the only way i know.
  10. Call the company that produces it. They should know.
  11. I had an incident last night. First time in years. Ugh, shivers as i think about it. I was like "is this what i think it is?".
  12. Honestly, if you work around small children chances are that it was indeed the stomach flu. I'm as careful as i can be and i attend college. So the first thought i generally have when i'm sick is whether its CC or not. Not possible, because i don't eat outside my apartment and i'm always washing my hands, etc. Then i think about sitting around all of...
  13. My Japanese professor made the best onigiri. I don't know what she put in them (chicken, anko (Open Original Shared Link), and something else) but they were to die for.

    India junk? explain please...
  16. You'd have to go back on the gluten for any blood tests to be accurate. The total IGA is only used (to my knowledge) to determine whether or not you are IGA deficient (which can mess up the results of the IGA TTG). You could go back on the gluten, get the full panel ran, and see what happens. Bring up your concerns about it and it should be fine.
  17. This is what i understood.
  18. IBS is a symptom not a diagnosis, aka we have no idea what is going on with your gut.
  19. Celiac affects the digestive tract. As long as you aren't: A. consuming it B. inhaling it (as this leads down to the gut) C. putting your hands in your mouth after touching it Than you should be fine (this does not include topical skin reactions). Are you allowed to wear gloves? I know some stores allow that.
  20. If its food related, wouldn't they have to state that it is?
  21. Another thought is that this is flu season after all. All ya have to do is step into a crowded area I shudder every time i hear a person cough or sneeze in my classes.
  22. Increased chance of developing it compared to the rest of the population? Sure. Your risk? Very very low. I had symptoms for about 10 years or so (if not longer).
  23. I'm not going to worry about it because they cannot add the sweeteners without placing it on the label. So things like chocolate milk would have it, but plain jane won't. Likewise they cannot hide chemical sweeteners.
  24. First off, i believe your intolerances may go away. I dropped about 40lbs in a little over a month when i was at my worst. At my lowest of the low after starting the gluten-free diet, i was eating peanut butter and apples (or lettice), boiled chicken, rice, sweet potatos, cheese, and some steamed veggies. This is not healthy. If i tried pretty...
