  1. Everyone is different. who knows really it could be something to do with how you personally matabolize things.
  2. Have you tried removing other possible issues (corn, soy, casin)?
  3. I know the feeling. I still get mild bladder issues when i'm really stressed.. Before that? Oh forget it. I'd have to go every half hour or so, run around feeling like i'm going to wet my pants (no fun!). It never came back as an issue with a UTI (checked many times). It seems to have stopped soon after my diet started. I still, on occasion, get it when i...
  4. You guys are so helpful I love that smily In all seriousness, i do eat quite a bit of protien every day (anything from meat to peanut butter to cheese, etc). Yeah, i should have added the apples in. I wasn't up for standing there and slicing them. Excuses, I know, but hey it still tasted good.
  5. Oh i understand that axiety. No actually, i didn't find out until a week later. Each lab does it just a bit differently. For example, my ttg IGA was 37 (with 1-19 normal, 20-29 low positive, 30+ high positive).
  6. I can't take the meds either. I became "intolerent" to them. Outside of tums, there really isn't much i can take.
  7. What is the range for the results?
  8. coffee cake was good, but its better with apples in it. On a random note, does not eating a lot of crunchy foods make your jaw sore? I've noticed this with a variety of things (beef and my crunchy topping on my cake to name two). It feels like i've gritted my teeth all day (which i probably was because i took my retainer out earlier). I'm not a big fan...
  9. Before you do this, please get tested. If you were to go off of it now, and down the line decide you want to have an actual dx, then you'd have to do a gluten challenge and it might end up being worse than what you experienced before. Also, gallbladders can act up in the presence of fatty/greasy foods. You could also have an issue with it as well going...
  10. You sure you don't have the genes for it? Just because no one in your family doesn't have it, doesn't mean that you can't. Sorry dear, but not eating gluten for a year will mess up the tests. You have to be on it for a significant period of time in order for it to come back. What are you eating? Many gluten-free vegans give up because there is very...
  11. I just made a coffee cake. I'm about to go cut into it. No dinner for me either
  12. How long have you been on the diet? What are you eating? Do you keep a food diary (this helps keep track of what you eat in case there is something causing you issues)?
  13. I had delt with "C" for quite some time into the diet. Prunes helped a little, but not much. Doctor suggested more fiber which didn't do a thing. What i do when i get like this is to go for a walk. Exercise does help get things moving. I know its hard, but doing a little every day will be better in the long run than all at once. Another thought...
  14. I'm eating some motzerella as i read this lol Its fine in most cases
  15. What about those falling type dreams? Would those count? Holy cow, between those and waking up and not being able to move (sleep paralisis?) its a wonder i got any sleep. I don't get the sleep paralisis ones anymore (yay!), i still, on a very rare occasion get the falling ones. I would wake up from one feeling like my heart was about to leap out of my chest...
  16. You can't? He'd have to be on it for a several weeks (i've heard anywhere from 2-6 weeks, longer the better) just for the testing to come back accurately. The only test that does not require this is the genetics test but generally that alone is not enough for a diagnosis.
  17. There are certaifide gluten free brands (bob red mills?). I can't handle them (gives me a belly ache). However, regular brands are CC'd because they rotate the fields with wheat (if i remembered that correctly).
  18. I deal with it when i forget to eat. Then i eat something high in protien (peanut butter or cheese normally) and have to sit down for a while. My symptoms are the jitters really bad and lightheadness. It goes away once i eat something.
  19. Mmmm i was like that as well before my dx. But even before that, i was constantly hungery. I would crave things. Now, over a year later on the diet, i don't. Maybe its because i get what i need? Who knows
  20. Bahumbug.... /incoming rant, be warned... I dispise GERD at times. I took a nap without my incline pillow... and i woke up with GERD starting to act up. Thinking it might just be due to me not eating for a few hours, I decided to eat the rest of my soup. Uhuh... yeah.... well it didn't like it. So here i am with indigestion (luckily its not bad enough...
  21. Did you have them run the tests for celiac when he had all the other ones done? Many of us have been told that its "all in our head", when in reality, it wasn't. I would push to find a new doctor for him to see.
  22. You're missing one: tomatillos Here's more on the family in general Open Original Shared Link I'm allergic to tomatos so i limit my intake on potatos and the like for just because reasons.
  23. In this case, its just better to let it in one ear and out the other. People who say things like this are not informed on how damaging gluten is those with an issue with it.
  24. Oh yes, this. The convenience. By far yes.
