  1. Basically, the only difference i've heard between celiac and an intolerence is that celaic does damage due to being an AI disease. People often times do elimination diets. Removing everything that could potentially be problematic and then slowly (once a week or so) adding an item back in.
  2. As promised: And when its been cut into.... It was really super moist, but kinda on the blandish side. I think i may need to add more honey to it. Also, i was unable to get the butter to blend throughly throughout because i had no mixer, so when it was put in, there were little chuncks of butter floating about in the batter.
  3. once? For a pizza crust and it came out just right. At any rate, checked it again and its getting much closer.
  4. just went and checked it. After 40 minutes, it was still battery in the middle I'm at high altitute, so i ajusted for that. Its in a glass pan, so i doubt that would do it. It is raising though. So i'm going to keep it at ten minutes and checking it then. I'm checking with a butter knife since i don't have tooth picks... The cake part is the yellow...
  5. I don't doubt it will be Oh i can't wait. I haven't had something with a crumbly stuffs on top since before i went gluten free. Muffins and coffee cakes of this nature used to be my all time favorite before then too. Granted, the crumbles are a bit smaller than what the recipie i followed said (gluteny one) but it should come out fine
  6. Most damage, to my knowledge is microscopic, however in some cases "scalloping" of the intestines can be seen.
  7. I haven't had moose before. I have had deer as well, but i prefer elk over it dinner was broccoli
  8. Oh thats a long drive, I've done that trip before. I don't really spend all to much on gluten free stuff. My main bigges are my pasta, corn tortillas, and my chex. On occasion i'll pick up a flour or something of that sort.
  9. I just put my coffee cake thing in the oven. I was good i didn't eat any of the batter (used to do this alot as a child), but i did take a few bites of the crumble on top (rice flour, brown sugar, and butter). I had to make sure it would come out right I may post a picture on here when its done
  10. I think its very possible that you have another intolerance that decided to show up after going gluten free. I've read on here some people, for example, have the same reaction to corn as they do to wheat. Just some food for thought.
  11. We've all been there. Just keep putting one foot forward. It will get easier
  12. It could have been from the way it was prepared though. On the other hand, i adore elk burgers..
  13. shhh.... i haven't seen any bugs since that major freeing we had (below 0) Generally, if its not someone i know personally or an RA at that time of night, I don't open the door.
  14. I had lamb once. It was waaaay to greasy/rich for my tastes.
  15. Eh, the treatments pretty much all the same. So it is possible for you to have celiac or NCGI.
  16. Yes, i didn't open it though. Nobody I knew and it was after 10pm sooo
  17. that was strange Someone just knocked on my door.
  18. That has to be hard. On one hand, you know whats been causing it, yet on the other hand.... Hope ya get better
  19. I'm going home on monday. Classes are over, my last final was done on wednesday. Now its the wait for the grades
  20. I've decided something.... Rice chex is far more superior to corn chex.... I mean its okay and doesn't bug me but.... i don't know how to explain it... Or perhaps its just a preference after only eating the rice variety for the past year and a half...
  21. If you are in the U.S. companies are required to say whether or not wheat is in it via label. This does not include, however, possible cross-contamination from manufacturing.
  22. Shhhh... i'm working on two degrees at once People who commit those crimes care not for regulations They'll find a way to do so regardless. I'd say the bread was being artistic.
  23. I like the ones with enamal coating. I believe they are cast iron because they are heavier then all heck. What i'm talking about is something akin to this: Open Original Shared Link
