  1. The gluten freeda ice cream sandwiches are fabulous! Never thought I would see the day there was an ice cream sandwich. We have gone through 3 packages.
  2. Someone on here went to the Mounds location and had a great experience with gluten-free. I tried to search for the thread but couldn't find it. I remember they talked to the chef and they accomadated them very well. My family will be going there later this year.
  3. DreamWalker I understand exactly what you are going thru. I went back to the Dr. more times than I care to remember. I just kept telling them I have the same pain as my gallbladder pain and that it went away and then came back. I finally got refered to another GI Dr. who took me serious. They did an endoscopy, which came back normal. So then they...
  4. Ok, I guess my dad and I make "exotic antibodies". Works for me.
  5. Glucose is not gluten. It is sugar.
  6. I can't give a scientific explanation, but some people just don't make the antibodies. I am example of this and so is my dad. He has rhuematoid arthritis SP?. A-typical polymyalgia and most likely Celiac, too but doesn't show it on any blood work. Other than the fact that his bloodwork is negative he has all the symptoms/damage. There a few people on here...
  7. Amy just a heads up, if you order the celiac "live strong" type bracelets, they come in 2 sizes. I have smaller wrists and the adult size was way too big. I ended up having to wear one of the children's sizes. The adult size litteraly fell off my hand.
  8. I take Miralax from time to time due to C from percocet. I have never had a reaction. But just in case they changed the ingredients I just called the 800 number. They confirmed it is gluten-free.
  9. I had an 8 mm kidney stone, finally got rid of it back in April. They blasted it 3 times and finally had to go in and cut it out. I had a tube in my kidney (thru my back) for 3 days. I have been gluten-free for 21 years and this was the first stone for me. I now take potassium citrate (per the DR.) to help prevent stones. He never said to avoid calcium supplements...
  10. Tremors aren't like shaking movements (think shivering) you can't visibly see them, rather only can feel them. I have had several MRI's and trips to the neuro. everything is "normal, so it has to be the fibro".
  11. I get all over body tremors. So far I have not found anything that helps. Dr.s just say oh, it your fibromyalgia, blah blah, blah. It's very annoying (both the tremors and the Dr.)
  12. Yes, I agree if your Dr. says they gotta go, they should. Unfortunately for awhile there the Dr.s were a little too eager to take them out. My daughter had her tonsils and adnoids taken out last summer. She was having sleep apnea issues because they were so large. It was a very miserable recovery. I begged the Dr.s for years to take them out, due to chronic...
  13. I still get them from time to time. Always have, probably always will. I've been gluten free for 21 years. The only way I would ever have my tonsils removed is if I had constant infections, ie strep throat, etc.
  14. Ang1e most likely what you are feeling is sphincter of oddi dysfunction. I have the same pain every day. It started with my gall bladder, I had it removed and the pain hasn't gone away. It has been over a year and a half. SOD is where your bile duct for your liver and or pancreas spasms.
  15. The problem with Wikipedia is ANY one can make a definition on that site. That is why some famous people's wiki pages have been locked. People claim they are dead etc. when they are not. So to trust the wiki page saying some coffee beans are dusted is unreliable information. (staying on topic.. )
  16. You definitely get more sensitive over time. Just because you don't feel any symptoms, it doesn't mean you aren't having silent damage.
  17. I love acupuncture. It has really help calm down my glutening reactions. Before I would end up in the ER with severe dehydration, now I just get D and stomach cramps.
  18. Ok, a bit of history and info about sphyncter of oddi. I had my first gall attack Christmas eve 07, had my gallbladder removed Jan 08. I continued to have the pain, even afterwards. I made several trips to the ER, to only be treated like a drug addict. (Just like you, I wasn't taken serously). The e.r. Dr. calls me the next morning after one of the many trips...
  19. I love TJ's prices. gluten-free specialty food (pasta etc.) is lacking, but so are most grocery stores. What I hate is 95% of the people that shop there. They are just down right rude. They cut you off with there cart, bump into you, etc. and then give you a dirty look for it.
  20. Woody's on Dock street ( I think it Dock st, I know it's on the waterfront somewhere) and Outback. Both are in Tacoma, they are close to Fort Lewis. There is also an Outback or two in Puyallup as well.
  21. I go to the Dr. at least once a month. They just write another script for percocet. They seem to be at a loss. I will ask about that. See if I can get some sort of testing for it. Thanks for your reply.
  22. okay so for all you experts who have this. I can't really find a list of symptoms. I have had for the last year and a half the following sypmtoms and procedures. I have severe pain on the left side just under my rib cage and a little up into my chest area (it almost feels like my heart). I always have the pain, but sometimes it is tolerable. When...
  23. It's weird how some people get nailed with jury duty year after year and others like myself never have. (KNOCK ON WOOD!) My sister has gotten out of it both times she was summoned. First time was it would cause hardship on the company she worked for. The second time she litterally had walking phenomnia (SP?). She sat there for two days before they released...
  24. Applebee's is known for having a non-friendly gluten-free attitude. They flat out say not to eat at there restaurant. It sounds like you got glutened to me. If the D continues try taking some immodium to slow things up a bit. But don't take the liquid immodium it's not gluten-free.
