ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
VydorScope replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
It is impossible to explain. Its a freaky wierd, almost pins and needles feeling around my head in a nonspefic place, it increases irritbility, decreases focus, and is generaly not fun. No pain most of the time. I used to eat more protein in the AM, up till this week, I am now trying the new plan that I posted since I am sick of blacking... -

a few hundred pages back I described something and y'all told me it as a "silent" migrain. They seem to be comming alot mroe often now. Im starting to wonderif its connected to BS changes. juliem, in my world there is no question that the sugar in dariy hits the blood stream fast, I know it from experence. -

Well this week I am trying somthing a bit different , in my never ending quest to deal with this mess. First off droping most of the cheese and dariy, limiting to 1 bowl of ice cream (I'll go to my grave with ice cream in my vice like grip! LOL) and 1 serving of yougurt (Yoplait lite, fairly low on sugar, but has some probotics, protien, and stuff). Switched... -
ARCHIVED Help Me Make Mocha Latte's At Home
VydorScope replied to mouse's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Moca... well you could go the cheap way and use chololate syrup (which as I recall is what Starbucks uses), its not the same... but in my experence most ppl cant tell the difference. Many places actaully use Hersey's. I do not hink I have seen Moca syurp in any stores, we had to order ours in from the ppl we got our imported espresso beans from. As... -

Yes DO complain. It DOES make a difference. If enough ppl complain, and they think thier sales will be impacted, they will change. -
ARCHIVED Help Me Make Mocha Latte's At Home
VydorScope replied to mouse's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
After runing a real coffee house for years (not a starbucks type place), I will have to make a minor correction here, a latte does have froth, just less. You take 1.5oz of espresso (single) or 3oz(double), and like 6 oz of milk and around 1-2 oz of froth. Little more /less for taste. Its an art not a science so it varies A Capaciino, which you almost... -
ARCHIVED Stevia?
VydorScope replied to a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Zero, but be careful. If you are alergic to anything in the ragweed family (like I am) you will be alergic to it. Also if you have problems with your blood pressure (esply if you take blood pressure meds) or low blood sugar, you probably can not use stevia safely. In South America it is prescribed to ppl to reduce blood sugar or blood pressure. -

VydorScope replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
If it happens again, can you take some alery meds to get through it? I have extremely poor memory, I too often even forget about my *own* issues, heck this week end I brought home Kroger Peanuts instead of Planters... in most houses not a big deal... EXCEPT they have WHEAT in thier ingredients stament, and BRAZIL NUTS too! Could have killed my... -

Sorry that I have not been in this thread in a while, but its very tough for me to keep up with threads that get in to like 10 pages... and this one is just a bit more then that! I am just struggling along trying to figure out how to manage my condition and lose the weight its caused me to gain at the same time... baffled at why its hit me so suddenly... -

No, to all your questions. When I started my current hair style I was single living in NJ. My wife now has very long straight brown all one lenght. Used to be longer, but she donated 10 or 12 inches to Lock of Love.. its still like 3/4ths the way down her back though. She plans to donate more again.

ARCHIVED Gluten Delaying Potty Training ?
VydorScope replied to Mamato2boys's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Our three year old son has celiac disease, though has been gluten-free since he was 20 months old. Not yet potty trianed, he has gone once or twice only on the potty. Some of the three year olds in his pre-school class are potty trianed, and some are not. So while I think he is a bit late, I do no think he is out of the normal curve. I DO think celiac...
