ARCHIVED Brain Fog?
loraleena replied to Super Bellybutton's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi there. This could be from gluten. My severe brain fog slowly lifted after I went gluten free almost a year ago. Feeling better can be a slow process. 1.5 days is nothing and you may still be contaminating yourself. You may feel better and worse back and forth for a while. I am better, but still have brain fog sometimes especially after lunch. Too... -

After 15 years as a vegetarian I went back to eating chicken, turkey and fish (free range and organic). It was difficult to be a veggie when I can't eat gluten, soy (due to thyroid issues) and nuts. -
Threelac is a powder you take 1 or more times a day that has tons of beneficial bacteria. It is different than the usual probiotics you buy at the store. It is available in the UK.

Hi, I had a friend who used to get those symptoms especially the sulphar burps and it turned out she had gallbladder stones. I would check this out.

I was diagnosed with IC in 2004. I found almost immediate relief by cutting certain foods they recommended out of my diet. Especially oranges and tomatoes and alcohol.

ARCHIVED Pets

I have been allergic to cats all my life. It is the reaction of their saliva with their dander that causes the allergic reaction. Since every cat has different dander and saliva different cats can affect you in different ways. I have lived with a cat for 2 months that didn't bother me. On the other side of the coin I was around a cat once that affected... -
I've noticed this also. I just get mean and really irritable the week before.

Hi, I have the same thing in my right arm pit. It gets worse when I scratch or it is hot. I think mine is thrush as well. I know I have candida overgrowth, maybe you do too. I am about to start taking threelac for candida. Just type in threelac on the web to read about it.

Gluten free hasn't changed anything. My sex life got fantastic when I got out of my bad marriage and met my wonderful boyfriend a year and a half ago. -
ARCHIVED Delicate Question, Women Only
loraleena replied to taz sharratt's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Your husband probably has candida and the 2 of you are passing it back and forth. It is more common that a man would have it without symptoms. You should both get treated at the same time. You can also use condoms to prevent infecting each other. -
I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks in 2000. I was put on Paxil which worked but deadened me emotionally. I went off slowly. Then I took a natural substance called 5-HTP which seemed to work. I have been off that for a while and have not had problems. Recently though I have been anxious - probably due to the overwhelming number of health issues...

ARCHIVED Newly Gluten Free And Frusterated

It is normal to have ups and downs. I still have them 10 months into this diet. I would watch out for soy and dairy. Are you a vegetarian? -
ARCHIVED Adrenal Gland Burn Out
loraleena replied to rachellek's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I go to an alternative medical facility that has MD's as well as other types of natural doctors. They combine natural and typical medicines. Also my regular MD will do any test I request, because he is very open minded and knows how much research I do. If your doc won't test than find someone else. Or, research about adrenal dysfunction and bring him... -

You all should know that quackwatch is now in trouble for false and misleading information. We all need to be aware that there are many on both sides of the fence who want to dupe us and mislead us. While natural methods may not always work and may not be completely harm free, I suggest you research the extremely harmful affects and deaths caused by all... -
ARCHIVED Adrenal Gland Burn Out
loraleena replied to rachellek's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am about to get my adrenals checked. I am going to have a morning and evening cortisal test done. Adrenal dysfunction can cause blood sugar issues, which I have among many other things. I'll keep you posted. -

loraleena replied to Lister's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
From what I have read the best way for our bodies to be refreshed is to go to bed and get up at the same time daily. The reccomended times are 10pm-6am. Between 10 and 2 is when are bodies rejuvenate. -
ARCHIVED Curious About Food Preferences
loraleena replied to queenofhearts's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
You can have soy sauce. San-J makes a gluten free soy sauce. It says wheat free, but it is ok. I personally use Braggs liquid aminos which is unfermented soy sauce and is gluten free. It is better for you if you suspect you have candida overgrowth as I do. It tastes great. -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Tried A Colon Cleanse Product ?
loraleena replied to marciab's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
You could try colon hydrotherapy, where they flush your colon with water. You must go to a certified therapist for safety reasons. Personally I believe that we have massive amount of waste stuck in us. Just because you are pooping, doesn't mean you don't have things stuck. Look at your poops. If they are long wide and large you are passing could stools... -

Hi Andrew. I am not sure what all the physical problems you have are, but I think it is good you are looking into bacterial issues. You may also want to look into parasites and yeast (candida overgrowth) Good luck!
