Hi there. I am so glad someone is dicussing this. I know I have candida ( I have so many symptoms, and have done the questionarre and home test. Read about the self test for candida on the web. ARCHIVED Sick And At My Wits End!
loraleena replied to Mandy F.'s topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I suspect candida (yeast overgrowth). You were on antibiotics and had sinus issues which they just found out is commonly caused by fungus. I have all your symptoms and have been gluten free for 9 months. I know I have candida and am about to embark on clearing this. It is common in celiacs as is parasite infestation. Get online and read about this. ... -
ARCHIVED Platelets
loraleena replied to loraleena's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hi, thanks for your reply. I read about that and thats what I suspect, since my other readings are normal. I absolutely will not take steroids. I have already started looking into natural alternatives and have found some chinese herbs that are used for this. Obviously I will not pursue anything until I know for sure. Did going gluten free help your levels... -
ARCHIVED Platelets
loraleena posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I recently had a whole bunch of blood work done. My platelets (which have always been a little low) have dropped from 141,000 to 89,000. I am not having any bleeding problems, but bruise a great deal. I have to get tested again next week, and if still low I have to go to a hemotologist! Has anyone else experienced this either before or after going gluten... -

ARCHIVED Odd Results On Adrenal Saliva Tests?
loraleena replied to DonnaD's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
My alternative doc just told me that he has found the saliva adrenals to not be accurate. He said there are specific blood test that are more accurate. I am having these done next week. I'll let you know what they are. -
Yes. This will happen to me randomly or after being glutened. It also happens if I am exposed to chemical fumes of any kind ( I have chemical sensitivities.) It is usually low like 99.8, but I get chills and feel awful. It always returns to normal in the evenings. Weird!!!

ARCHIVED Vaccines?
loraleena replied to odcdinah's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
stay away from all vaccines. 'They are poison!! Read ihfo from Kevin Treadeau (the natural cures guy) on the history of vaccination and the horror they have caused. I believe that a rubella shot after the birth of my son may have been the trigger for all my health problems!! -
Whole foods market has a great sushi section. I get the raw tuna or raw salmon. The rice is made with a gluten free vinegar and the sauces are prepackaged on the side (don't eat them) I use my own soy sauce. I think there are avocodo/cucumber ones that are ok too.

ARCHIVED Need Your Expert Advice Again!
loraleena replied to Bonnie's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I agree with the cleansing. You probably need colon cleansing, liver cleansing and candida cleansing. Please look into candida overgrowth. There is a simple test to tell you if this is an issue. When you wake up in the morning fill a glass with water and spit in it. Watch the water for an hour. If the spit sinks to the bottom or has spindly "legs coming... -

ARCHIVED Beware Of Soy!
loraleena replied to ms-sillyak-screwed's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I agree with silly yak. The medical community is messed up. You should all read Natural Cures They don't Want you to know about. Asian cultures only eat fermented soy and very small amount. It is also not gen. modified. Interestingly they still have the highest rates of thyroid cancer. Americans never do anything in moderation. The worst soy offender... -
ARCHIVED Celiac, Severe Bloating, & Eating Disorders
loraleena replied to a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have always had a flat stomach no matter what I weighed. Overnight after I went gluten free in July, I am now bloated all the time. Why would I not be bloated while eating gluten, but very bloated since stopping. Enzymes help some. Has anyone dealt with yeast overgrowth and parasites. I heard they can cause this. Has anyone done a colon cleanse? ... -

loraleena replied to wilbragirl's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Hi, Just discovered your message. I just moved from Halifax VT. to Western Ma. But, I work in Brattleboro. I am psyched that it has been so warm, not a big lover of cold weather. Anyway I was diagnosed in July 05. Tell me how its been for you. -
Asians do eat a lot of soy, but in small quantities and not processed (ie- not added to cereals, vitamins and the like. That is hydrolyzed soy and it is very bad for you. Asians have the highest risk of thyroid cancer. Try not to eat soy (only organic more than 2x week if you have thyroid issues.
