ARCHIVED Feel Lousy
1desperateladysaved replied to dizzydo's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Try to take some down time. Give your body some time to adjust. It will work hard to recover. Sometimes one feels worse before they feel better. Keep trying to clear all bottles in pantry and refrigerator to make sure none contain gluten. I think I had problems with cross contamination within 4 days of going gluten free. Some of the things I attributed... -

Hi Laura, Do you know if lupus/celiac are linked. I mean can you have lupus without celiac? I hope you will turn your health around! I have a daughter living at GIAL. Dallas area. D -
Probiotics are different from the digestive enzymes given to me by my functional medicine nurse practitioner. .She realized that I had villi damage. The villi in the small intestine tell the pancreas when to fire. Since mine were damaged, they couldn't do their job. The enzymes help to break down the food while one waits for healing. Probiotics are bacteria...

My absorption seemed to take a dip after going gluten free. My iron level had been okay with supplements, but it lowered. I had a nutrient absorption test at round 8 months gluten free. My vitamin B levels were low. Vitamin D was low. My ferritin level was low. This in spite of many supplements I was on. The Genova nutrient test also found I had mal...

My son just walked up and asked why I looked so sad. I feel for you. I believe you have symptoms you listed, and I hope you will be well. I know how hard it can be. I love kids. I want them all to have an energetic mother. I have 7 children and have lived through about 30 years of foggy fatigue. Over the years, I felt as devastatingly tired in... -

ARCHIVED Celiac Based On Symptoms Alone?
1desperateladysaved replied to scrcdawn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes, I got diagnosed based on my genetic test which was 2 DQ2 and 2 DQ8 and that was as positive as one can get. I also took those test results to the MD 3 weeks post gluten. I presented with a belly looking 5 months pregnant. I told her about my response to the gluten free diet. I had promised myself not to eat gluten ever again on purpose. She said... -

I think it would be best to find a doctor that will help you and be tested. Many of those things can be signs of celiac. It would be so good to see you delivered from that. It would be fun to have someone start blogging and keep blogging beginning before diagnosis, so Keep it up. Please Get better. Test before you stop eating gluten as soon as possible... -

Oh, feel for you. The real gold mine test for celiac /gluten problems is a positive response to diet and it sounds like your daughter had that. Welcome to the gluten free club! Thanks for supporting your family members; I know, you have to you're the Mom. I had eczema and mono. I never seemed to recover from the mono-until now. I can't help thinking... -
When I was 25 the doctor prescribed calcium forever. However, it hurt my tummy and made me feel sick. my Functional Medicine nurse has since told me that it could make untreated celiac worse. That likely was my difficulty. I redoubled my efforts to take milk! I had my calcium levels checked recently and I have enough calcium. My absorption is now quite...

ARCHIVED Celiac?
1desperateladysaved replied to Kreative's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I hope your tests prove definitive. Sorry to hear you are ailing. I am blonde, (or was my hair has darkened) and I have 4/4 genes for celiac. I was born with blue eyes, but they are hazel now. I had brain fog, tremors (It seems as if that was low magnesium), and fatigue. I have been gluten free about 18 months and I am better from these. I hope... -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Been Glutened Just By Walking Into A Bakery?
1desperateladysaved replied to BelleVie's topic in Super Sensitive People
I avoid bakeries. Last time my family baked bread, I walked in, smelled it and left. Whether it is a gluten reaction or something else, I cannot tell you. Exposure will cause eye twitches, sty near my eye, fatigue, and swelling. I stay as far away as possible of grocery bakeries. Did you see Jebby's blog about food intolerances? I am interested to see... -

A question I have: "What do you do about poor density when you find it? " My thoughts about it: My answer " I would make sure that my nutrient levels were good. " self: "Oh, I am doing that, so why do I need to test my bone density?" ...If anyone has thoughts on my thoughts, or on my question go ahead.

I found out by being tested for antibodies to cinnamon and tested positive. It registered as an intolerance. I waited the indicated amount of time and longer before I tried it. The red lentils which I have had a few grains of barley mixed in. Do you know what barley looks like? Barley looks like small yellowish balls with a grove from end to end. There is always a chance that yours may have wheat or other gluten grain mixed in. When this happened to me, I picked through the lentils, and washed them with a scrub brush. Even though...
