  1. Take a natural and quality B12 sublingual supplement and an iron supplement and get tested for celiac as soon as possible. A shortage of those nutrients can cause fatigue, weakness, and foggy thinking. I know from painful experience. Was your positive test result for celiac?
  2. I am thankful for your definitive results. I hope the same for your children You have an incredible story and I hope one day you will produce a happy ending for it. D
  3. You have a positive test result for the final gold standard, a positive response to a gluten free diet. I did that and a genetic test to receive my diagnosis. I also have 5 children 2 of which tested negative on celiac panels, but they have possible symptoms. I am hoping the tests improve. I too didn't dare do the challenge, but consequences keep me...
  4. I hope those tests will give you definitive results. Prediagnosis I did have pain that began in my feet that eventually worked its way high upon my legs. Supplements helped with my pain. Shortly before going gluten free I said to my doctor that "Every tissue in my body feels irritated." I had celiac disease symptoms for 30 years and these included brain...
  5. Anyone that knows of a baking soda brand that is produced in a facility that only produces baking soda? The kind I have been buying is rebagged in a facility that packages anything; I am just thinking I should be more careful. D
  6. I have ground buckwheat flour in a Kitchen Mill. Last I knew they are around 200 dollars. It is easy to grind buckwheat. D
  7. I am not saying it is celiac. Buckwheat is a fruit and unrelated to wheat. However, I do react to it. I use to eat it heavily when other "grains" were cut out. I had a similar withdrawal as I did to gluten. I would hold off on the buckwheat for now and try it later if you can brave it. D
  8. I recommend looking into functional medicine. They try to find the root of the problem. They use supplements to help the body recover. I don't know if any are in your specific area, but one can google it. I see you found someone to help and wish you well in it. D
  9. My bloated belly took 8 months before it started to go down sometimes. At 18 months gluten free I notice it bloats up and down. At the height of my problems my tummy was constantly bloated with no relief. I had trouble when I wasn't diagnosed with my heart. My blood pressure would dive and stay down when I stood up. Supplements brought my heart to...
  10. I had fatigue and could fight it in the beginning by being active. I did tend to feel really sleepy when I sat down. I have had trouble reading books or anything sitting because of sleepiness. My major symptoms were brain fog and fatigue. I also had bloating and was mistaken for pregnant sometimes. I had big dental problems in spite of brushing. I got...
  11. I have struggled with Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin D, Ferritin, magnesium and asparagine. Currently all but asparagine are at good to adequate levels having come up from low last November. I am around 18 months gluten free.
  12. Greetings and thanks for the well wishes, Have you any desire to get an official diagnosis? You have had a positive response to the diet it seems! That is great. I had 30+ years of it too but feel better. All the best in your new trek, D
  13. I always think, when using natural means to fight health problems, that any reactions is a good one. Your body is working hard on recovery! Hang in there !
  14. I did experience something like this, but I look at it a little differently. As I eliminated many things I felt better. Then I would relapse and find another thing that bothered me. I got tested for antibodies for foods and felt it was a great help for me. I cut out 49 of 60 foods tested. I just found other foods to eat. I felt better after about ...
  15. Oh, such a lot to process at 6, but they can do it. I am a mother of 7. I hope he will notice he feels better. He may make a mistake and (like me) will be glad he is allowed to eat gluten free. D
  16. Bread use to be my favorite food, but now I can't wait to have a sweet potato, kidney beans, or almond granola. You will be able to find news foods to really like. When you start feeling better, it will be worth the trial of learning. Get well, D
  17. If you care to discuss it further, do you have a history? Why did you do this test instead of an antibody tests? Were you tested for DQ2 and Dq8? You may not have been checked for celiac at all. Did you have a total IgA test alone? The total IgA would show that you don't have low antibodies only, I believe. This would only mean that your test would...
  18. This was posted by the administer recently. Open Original Shared Link I guess there may be a lot of reasons for not healing . This is a thread to see what your ideas are. Also, do other studies find that 60% are not healing?
  19. Reactions can take 4 days to surface after eating a food that isn't tolerated. My functional medicine nurse says that I needed to wait at least 4 days between trying a different food. You will need to wait longer than 2 days to see if milk is a problem. If you have a record of what you are eating daily, you may be able to figure out any foods that cause...
  20. When I had my test, I was told that if I hadn't taken in gluten or other test food for a long while that it would false negative. To prepare for the test I tried to take in each of the 60 test items at least once and hopefully twice in the two weeks before the blood was drawn. I already knew that I had problems with wheat and would not eat that. You need...
  21. I agree the body is able to tell me more distinctly that it doesn't like something than it use to. IT is kind of an AHA moment when I experience bloating (an old thing) along with pings and D some new things.
  22. I got diagnosed with genetic test (2 DQ2 and 2 DQ8) symptoms, and telling the MD doctor the changes that happened since going gluten free. I am the only one I know of that was diagnosed this way. Since, we have found more evidence of my celiac. I had the enamel off of my teeth 30 years back. I suffered from eczema and mysterious food reactions while...
  23. If your nutrient levels were low, and you have a highly nutritious diet: I would be concerned it is celiac. If it is celiac you can't cheat. If you want to cheat, you better be tested. If you want to test, you get one last several week fling at eating gluten. After all, you don't know for sure. Most of us do have painful consequences if we accidentally...
  24. Oh, I am going to ask my chiro about this! There are certain nerves running through certain vertebrate of the back. My Atlas keeps coming out and C7 in my neck. I have had this constant since 2010 when I took a trip to foreign lands and ate what I was served. It was before I knew I had celiac disease, but already I ate a simple diet without wheat at home...
  25. Since October 11 there are 0 views of blogs. I have read each of them and made a couple of comment. Could this be checked? D
