  1. I found a link about vertigo. www.livingwithout.com issues/4/12ataxia2366-1.html?pg2 I couldn't figure out how to get there with the click on information, but I searched the sight for ataxia and found the article. D
  2. You may want to ask a doctor that knows more about gluten intolerance. The symptoms you mentioned sound like classic symptoms. Make sure they had a full celiac panel. See if you can get an endoscopy regardless. Then, after all the testing is done, try the final test and go gluten free. If they respond to the diet, they have a gluten problem. Do...
  3. When you get retests, the antibodies should be low. That would mean that you are doing a good job being gluten free and the body is cleaning itself out. One must remain gluten free for life! I just said to clarify, because we have heard of doctors that do not understand this also. D
  4. Have you tried coconut milk? I make smoothies and cream sauce with it. It has a good deal of fat. D
  5. I went for months not knowing I could follow posts. In my start on the forum during my critical time, it was stab and miss that I found my posts after making them. Could we have it that one automatically follows their own posts. This would still be helpful for me and I think helpful to people new to the forum. D
  6. I know how overwhelming this looks. I looked up a corn allergen list the other day. I printed off a list four pages long of potential corn terms. This isn't a picnic, I thought. I have been off corn a long time, but I didn't know how to recognize the four pages of terms. Thankfully, most of my supplements were corn free. I had to call every company...
  7. My blood sugar seemed better when I did the following diet scheme with the digestive enzymes. 5-8 oz meat or protein for 3 meals daily Vegetables Good fats Butter (if tolerated), coconut oil, or olive oil 1 Tbsp per meal 27 carbs from fruit nuts This type of diet SCD (information available on line) helps me to feel well satisfied for 4 hours, until...
  8. Have your villi healed? Perhaps you are not absorbing the foods you eat. You could do endoscopy to find this out. I have my nutrient levels checked to see If they are being absorbed. Have you also tried digestive enzymes to help break down your foods? D
  9. WestCoastGirl, can we have an Update? Are you a couple of weeks in to it now? D
  10. So, this finally settles why I reacted to envelope licking. I have more of a problem with corn than wheat! D
  11. I had low B in spite of supplementation. You need your villi to heal if I guess right. You aren't able to get much through your small intestine. If your villi is that damaged, you may be having trouble breaking down your food. According to my Functional Medicine nurse, you may want to take digestive enzymes to help break down your food while the villi...
  12. Yes, that is what I need! A mother with genetics like mine needs to think gluten first, I think. I couldn't get the MD to listen the other day. I never could understand that many years ago my eczema was treated with cream, but no effort was made to find the cause. Meanwhile, the pharmacist solemnly warned me that the hydrocortisone cream could damage...
  13. I have seen the two linked, but when I looked up information on eczema, it didn't mention celiac or gluten. I think my daughter has eczema on her arms.
  14. Oh, boy, but they have a sheet rock mud project today. :( I feel sick.
  15. No glutencookies I really like the last verse! Keep on singing. D
  16. Disclaimer: My reactions are unique and may be more than celiac, therefore not many people would need to panic they will get like reactions. The reactions aren't labeled, so I really don't know why I am having them this way. Please don't panic . Now, My Family Believes Me! In my illness, I would say daily. I am tired. I didn't mean that I over...
  17. I have been diagnosed with celiac, raynaud's and who knows what else? I had symptoms even when I was young. My pulse was difficult to detect, even though it came from this skinny little arm. At 17, the enamel disappeared off my teeth. And no, Mr Dentist, I didn't skip brushing! I often went through school with my head on my desk. Several years back...
  18. How to make broth. Place leftovers, bones, skin of chicken in crockpot or stove. Add vegetables if desired for more nutrients. You can strain out the vegetables if desired when done. Cook for several hours or until it is golden brown. It is most flavorful when simmered overnight.
  19. I didn't dare eat gluten for testing. I did genetic testing and found that I was overwhelmingly positive. We checked for nutrient levels and they were low. Other symptoms seemed to back the diagnosis. I lost the enamel off my teeth when I was 17. I had to take iron supplements, or I would be anemic. I had immature red blood cells in spite of the ferritin...
  20. Yes, it may be allergies, however, my IgE level is minimal which the MD says means that I am not an allergenic person.
  21. This is about Super sensitivity and not just to gluten; The hygienist used this line on me once. She felt she could use her regular tooth polish on me as she uses it on everyone else. No need to read ingredients, she doesn't know what is in it, but it was safe. I reacted. Next time, I used pomace powder only and had no reaction. I have skin reactivity...
  22. I think there is hope for me, for though I feel really good, I still feel I am in transition at 18 months gluten free. One of my daughters has raynaud's too, so the logical question is whether this might be a sign of celiac for my family. I see everything as symptoms though, and my family sees nothing as symptoms. Strange deal for a person with 2 copies...
  23. Thanks, it is fixed. It always makes it easier to write if one knows that someone is reading it. D
  24. The Lord doesn't forsake, for sure, is kind when others are carrying one in prayer too.
  25. I recently found out that I have Raynauds. Is it related to celiac? Also does it improve with a gluten free diet? D
