  1. I felt tremors every day in my life UNTIL my chiropractor recommended a liquid magnesium to meet my deficiency. After 3-4 days my shaky feelings went away and never returned. My chiro did warn not to take magnesium if you have the diarrhea. D
  2. You might need to set up a gluten free kitchen. Perhaps your main kitchen can be made gluten free. If you can't make that gluten free, a table, electric skillet, and utensils somewhere else in the house would be safer. You may try the Special Carbohydrates diet which was made specifically to help people with celiac that didn't heal when expected. . ...
  3. I put the question to my physician. I am not sure if they know why birthmarks generally fade. I guess I could look into that. Any other ideas?
  4. I have noticed something with my vision recently. If I look at my electronic clock while using my electric toothbrush, my eyes shake with the vibrations. My husband's eyes do not do this. I also noticed that lights appear to flicker up and down as I ride down the highway at night seeing the lights on large green signs. Yesterday, I heard the eyes have...
  5. Okay, so I don't expect anyone else to have noticed something similar, but since I am getting intensely curious here goes At birth I had a birthmark between my eyebrows; I can see it in the pictures. It had faded by the time that I was 9 months old. Recently, I have noticed that the birthmark has appeared on my head! I went gluten free 20 months ago...
  6. I bought some once for disinfecting my toe fungus. I have been using honey in foods as suggested by SCD diet. I think it can have healing properties, but haven't studied it.
  7. Perhaps you might have reached bowel tolerance of magnesium, or vitamin C if you are taking them. D
  8. Thanks for the update. I hope you start raving about having energy very soon. Good work and keep going! D
  9. I know the first few months I had let a few small bottles of flavoring from pre-gluten days in my kitchen. I would encourage you to check every label. It was the labels that I thought only contained one or two ingredients that I missed. In time you should be able to heal more and will be better able to determine what caused each reaction. D.
  10. I relate to mourning. It is okay to grieve. I don't know why our situations were only revealed years after the onset of symptoms. I know I had a part in it. My parents and doctors had a part in it. BUT WE DID NOT KNOW! All of the training we had couldn't tell us what was the problem. But now, I am better (After 30 years of symptoms). I have hope...
  11. I have had extreme bladder irritation at time. I got checked for bladder infections, but it was negative. The doctor thought to stick a tube up to see if the bladder was irritated. I said, it is irritated, so what do we do then. They had a drug for it I would not consider that until I looked up how to get to the root of the problem. I saw information...
  12. I have been making SCD Special Carbohydrate Muffins which use nut flour rather than grain flour. You can google SCD diet to find recipes. I find they are really filling and I think the blood sugar curve is good. Having about a TBSP of good oils (butter, coconut oil, or olive oil) with each meal. This both helps you feel full and gives you energy over time...
  13. I believe you did the right thing. Have a look at what Mayo Clinic says about nails and what they indicate. www.mayoclinic.org/nails/SLS-2007631 Does anyone know more about nutrition and nails? I thought anemia might be shown, but didn't see it in the above slides. I know my functional medicine nurse checked my nails carefully for signs of low nutrients...
  14. I believe that changes are actually a good sign that your diet is making a difference. I did notice changes in mine after going gluten free. D
  15. Yes, I have trouble will processed food. I am doing meats, vegetables, fruits, and nut flour baked goods. Basically my diet is SCD( Specific Carbohydrate Diet.) One can google that online. Go for good oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, and butter if tolerated. I basically cook from scratch and produce my own food as much as I can. I just feel so much...
  16. I hope you can find some kind of a job. It sounds like all you need is money for food and perhaps some utensils. Since gluten makes you sick, you need to avoid it somehow. If you got any holiday money, spend it for food, electric skillet, and spatula. If you didn't, hang on. As you feel better, you will be able to work more. The more you work and...
  17. I am sure glad you are checking into celiac. My symptoms at diagnosis, bloating, brain fog, extreme fatigue. One can also get thyroid troubles I have heard here on the forum. I got diagnosed by genetic testing, nutrient levels, symptoms at diagnosis and by the testimony I gave the doctor of my reaction to a gluten free diet. I guess this was kind of...
  18. Hi Bunny, You must be eating gluten to be sure the test doesn't false negative. I wasn't clear if you understood that. D
  19. Homemade shampoo bars clean really well. D
  20. I believe you are smart to look into a gluten intolerance. I hope you will get definitive answers. Before I knew about my intolerance, I didn't eat wheat and ate instead lighter gluten grains. I almost died! The damage just kept getting worse. Gluten light won't do it if you do have celiac! I didn't have family history. But my genes were totally...
  21. My first wonder is if you are getting cross contamination. If your home is not 100% gluten free, you may want to create a small kitchen using a table, electric skillet, and utensils. It is nice to have running water and a tub near by for washing dishes. I would suggest you consider an SCD (Special Carbohydrate Diet) diet. This was developed to help those...
  22. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I find it easier to make from scratch instead of reading labels. Rice milk can be homemade. One can just google a rice milk recipe. I make chicken broth by adding chicken bones and scraps to a pot full of water. The longer one simmers it the better it will taste. I often put it in a crock pot overnight....
  23. Yep, you do have to laugh. Congratulations, she deserved more than winning the contest! D
  24. I hope you will celebrate many days of the next year with the same happy thought!
  25. I read the label and it declares there is no corn and other allergens in the product. I have never caught an incorrect label, but it could happen, I think. It does list several allergens more than I did, including wheat, and yeast are not in theret. I could not find a phone number on the label. I don't think it ever hurts to check where the ingredient is...
