  1. Please does anyone know of an article which is brief and to the point of the needs of a celiac for food not contaminated? I have been told to eat at home to avoid my reactions to any and all contamination. Home should be a safe harbor without grains I am intolerant to? Your own ideas are welcome!
  2. All of the Natural food store Vitamin B sublingual tablets worked, so no special kind. I am low in folate, but now my vitamin B12 is good. I have a clear mind now! For me, anyway B12 seemed to be the key. I am working on bringing up my Folate by taking a vitamin B supplement with it and taking more green vegetables. I am looking for a supplement to give...
  3. They are a couple of inches across with a traditional hole in the middle. They are sort of like quick bread in that one doesn't have to raise them before cooking. I believe a cinnamon donut is a cake donut dipped in cinnamon sugar-usually around my bakery, anyway.
  4. Welcome to the forum, Catherine, The real gold standard test for celiac is when your body responds well to the gluten free diet! You pass that test. Many have done gluten challenges around here. I didn't do it, because I felt the concern you do about it. I think I would look back at your symptoms, perhaps talk to another doctor and really consider...
  5. Often They are plainest donut available. Often they are frosted and pretty sprinkles go on top. They are also sometimes dipped in powdered sugar, granulated sugar, or left plain. They are small compared to glazed donuts. glazed donuts are golden brown, but I would consider cake donuts to be light brown. I use to work in a bakery long ago. I wouldn't...
  6. Vitamin B12 sublingual, all natural supplement helped my brain fog and fatigue, until I got too much of it and got brain fog and fatigue! Digestive enzymes are helping me to break down my food as my villi are healing. My villi are too damaged to do the job of telling the pancreas to fire. I take a multi-vitamin and am currently trying to find an over the...
  7. Are you expecting that they will give more information about the tissues found? It sounds like your reaction to the diet was positive! That is good. I also had the diameter of BM's change after going gluten free. D
  8. Keep on treading! Gluten free may be helpful even if the tests are negative. It sounds like your diet response was positive? I hope what you need to know will be revealed and you will have much energy for your walk. D
  9. I get fatigue and fogginess with other foods I am intolerant to. I also get it really bad when I withdraw offending foods.
  10. You can find a self assessment on line. If you found you might have it there are ways to discourage its growth. I know these from past experience with me and my son. I got many of them through a book put out by Canary Connect. Avoid sweeteners Avoid yeast products Avoid white vinegar There is sugar in fruit, so do more vegetables and less fruit...
  11. Methyl B12, are you talking about vitamin B?
  12. I hope you will get encouraging help. D
  13. I can't eat corn, rice, or buckwheat. I keep thinking that some people do need to eliminate them. I do plan to give rice a test when I am up to it. I have dealt with this website and talked with the doctor and have received help from it. I found them helpful. If you are avoiding grains, their website contains many recipes that are helpful.
  14. Lovechild: Have you been checked for celiac disease? Your response to the diet sounds profound. Yes, I have experience with food antibody tests! I have felt better since I eliminated all foods that I had low level intolerance of and am now slowly adding them back. Your results sounded similar to mine in that most foods I was eating scored in the...
  15. Please someone post the list of tests for Tim.
  16. Hi Scarlettgrrl, Occasionally a doctor will see damage and verify a suspicion of celiac right away, but villi damage is looked for by microscope later if I got that right. I just want to say that I hope you will get definitive results. As soon as testing is finished you can go gluten free! No more challenges for you, I hope. Get well Soon, **...
  17. Greetings Tim, First, you need to determine if you are consuming enough gluten to be tested. You may be getting gluten even if you are not eating bread, but you would need to discuss that or read up on that. I think you should get blood tests for antibodies to gluten (celiac) just as soon as possible. keep eating gluten until all testing is done. ...
  18. Greetings No7and, Please tell us what tests the doctor did for celiac. If you have results you could post them. Sometimes they can do more tests to find out more. The endoscopy is usually the definitive test if the blood antibodies are negative, or to confirm a positive result. He wouldn't have you stop eating gluten until all testing is done....
  19. I make soap for my family and know what recipes call for. I would check your soap and make sure it doesn't contain wheat. Even if you have not switched brands, I believe your body can get better at telling you it is irritated after going gluten free. I had rashes in various locations as I recovered. The doctor thought one was yeast detox, and another...
  20. I thought of doing B12 injections, but with additional healing, my levels rose without them! D
  21. I am still getting up before the alarm rings?!
  22. I am glad you are having improvements after gluten free! I didn't have an endoscopy. I had obvious bloating (5 months pregnant maybe?), A really positive genetic test, positive response to diet, and a doctor who had respect for and listens to her patients. Since my diagnosis, I have been found to have mal-absorption, food intolerances to nearly everything...
  23. My doctors, 2 chiropractors, 1 MD, A functional medical doctor who is osteopathic, and a Function medicine Family practitioner nurse, and 2 nutrient tests all determined that probiotics would be good for me. The tests showed me to be low in them. I am not paying doctors to not do what they say, so I take them. D
  24. A rotational diet helped me to find out that buckwheat, even pure, is a problem for me. Chalk one up for the rotational diet, when you only eat something every 4 days, it is easier to notice. I am better now!
