  1. I hope you will get definitive answers, but am glad the doc allows you on the diet now. I just hope he doesn't want a gluten challenge later. D
  2. Six or seven years back, I use to fall asleep between words while giving a spelling test. Nutritional supplements overcame that. I still didn't find out I had celiac. I didn't experience total freedom from fogginess and fatigue until we cracked that.
  3. I make mango sauce. Whirl mango in the blender. It has been perfect for pizza sauce as it comes out of the blender with a good consistently. I got pizza back! Nut crust. Mango sauce. Eggs and toppings on top.
  4. Is your testing done so you can go gluten free. Maybe having the 3 year old tested would be a good thing? D
  5. My functional medicine nurse thought that my problems with rice may stem from yeast problems.
  6. Why people get tested: 1, To reduce the possibility that they will change their mind in the future about being on a gluten diet. 2. To help gain cooperation from others around them with their diet or other accommodations. Schools, for example need to make sure students remain on the diet in school. Some need a confirmed diagnosis. 3. For a firm...
  7. I experienced the same difficulties just about a year ago. My weakness caused me and my family great struggles. I was nearly dying, he was inviting a family of 12 for dinner. He just didn't get it. Now, he says that clearly I do have a gluten problem. He has seen profound improvements in the last 9 months. Things are not perfect, but they are getting...
  8. Welcome Bekkaz, I am hoping you figure out what is ailing you. It does sound like gluten problems is a strong possibility. You seemed to have had a positive diet trial. I think you should get tested for celiac. You must be eating gluten for the testing. Someone will likely list the tests for it to help you know which ones. When it is done go gluten...
  9. After those Moderator approved post, you can still post. I have heard more than one thinking they only have a certain number of posts left. There are many questions to be asked and support to offer. D
  10. I felt much better after avoiding foods that tested as having antibodies on my blood tests.. My toe fungus began to heal. I got detox rashes, possibly yeast. Maybe you should dig out those old papers and give it a whirl. I had to bring in some unusual foods to substitute for old favorites. I had become intolerant to nearly everything I had been eating...
  11. After 2-3 months, I had some better days, but then I cut out all grains and went into a new withdrawal for another 2-3 months.. I did not really have a clear mind until I started rotational diet and cut out foods which I was intolerant last November. Now I am 1 1/2 years gluten free and have done many things to regain health. Nearly all of the days are...
  12. My young daughter saw this request and hunted up the recipe for you. I hope you didn't starve waiting for it. I couldn't tolerate this recipe, so I had sort of lost it. 11/2 cup blanched almond flour. I use unblanched. 3/4 cup arrowroot powder 1/4 cup flax seed meal (I use a nut powdered instead) 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 4 eggs 1...
  13. I believe the toe nail thing is fungus. I had one toe with fungus. I think it is recovering. I believe that Candida is a fungus, but I am not sure if it causes the problem with nails or some other fungus causes it. I haven't put anything on my nail fungus lately, but am reasonably certain going gluten free, and intolerant food free has helped. Probably...
  14. I'm sorry too. I hope you will feel better soon.
  15. Yes, go on! Get better***
  16. I had those death like feelings during withdrawal. Realize it is temporary and try to go on. Resting time is good. One needs it during this time. Eventually I would have some really low lows (dying?) followed by the highest high I remembered in years. When I finally started to get better, I felt I should be better every day, but there were twists and...
  17. Eggs are a staple food for me appearing poached daily on my breakfast table. My cholesterol is not high. They are an excellent protein source. I would only take them out of my diet if I knew they were a problem.
  18. My enzymes contain Amylase, Protease, Lipase, and cellulase. They say they are digestive enzymes. The Functional nurse that asked me to take them said that they help break down until the villi can heal enough for them to tell the pancreas to fire.
  19. It could be clean out stuff. The body is bound to surprise you at times. Mine has! You haven't by chance began to take magnesium or Vitamin C. These cause diarrhea when your body can't handle so much of it. Get well, D
  20. My bloating went wild after I went gluten free. I looked 5 months pregnant at 3 weeks gluten free. That is when I asked the MD, "What on Earth." Other symptoms that were difficult were fatigue and brain fog. As time went on, I had higher highs and some disappointing lows, but the lowest lows seemed to be followed by the highest highs. Hang on. I don...
  21. Are you doing enzymes and Probiotic? My Healthline Restore Probiotic seems to be doing something. I am planning to try their enzymes as well, but for now I am taking Integrative Therapeutics, Inc enzymes which I get through my health practitioner. I have also had success with enzymes from health food stores. I can't remember exact brands, but have had...
  22. I used marshmallow herbs capsules and it was one of the things that could give me some energy before I knew to go gluten free. I have been thinking of using them for a little while after my body settles down on food reactions. Since, I used the marshmallow, at some of my lowest points, with no relief anymore, I think it probable I became intolerant to...
  23. Welcome to the forum. Sorry about your struggles. I face similar problems and really don't have good solutions yet. I am waiting and hoping that my body will settle down a bit as my doctors think it might. D
  24. It is tough. I think I would have done more crying, if I could of. Depression is a sad sign of the things you are going through. Realize that it isn't forever and you can keep going. I had someone to carry me, and I am better, D
  25. I carry hard boiled eggs in an egg carton. With the shell, they travel easy and can be eaten when you are in a pinch.
